I tried the Kemari Shrimp. The sauce is not great. It's too spicy and doesn't really go with shrimp. I also tried the Chilman Murgh Biryani and the Yakhni Pulao Kusbudar. Both were just okay. I am Indian and my mom makes really good biryani so this is something that I'm probably harsher on than most others. Mango lassi was okay.. a little on the sour side. We order the Gajar Halwa and the Pineapple/cream thing for desert. Everyone in my party agreed that the deserts wee the only good things we had.

Not worth my money!!!
$40 per person for Iftari with a 45 minute wait to get to the food !!!
Never Again I'll consider this place to spend my money!
No place has a 45 minute wait to simply get to the food !Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nazia C.Sugar Land, TX9413Mar 9, 2024
We had a great family dinner tonight at Lasbela! The service was some of the best I've ever received from a Indo-Pak restaurant! Aziz the owner and Veronica the manager had us seated within 2 minutes of our arrival and our waiter Ali took great care of us. Our food and drinks came out fairly quickly and were good! Highly recommend the mango colada and the jhinga shrimp! We let Ali know that we were celebrating an anniversary and he brought out a free dessert and also played special music; such an endearing experience! We will definitely be back!

We have heard so much about Lasbela. All good things. So this past Saturday, my husband and I decided to check it out. We ordered the murgh chole (chicken and chickpeas), bhindi masala (okra), beef keema, some naan and rice. All these are dishes that we are familiar with - having eaten at other Indo-Pak restaurants. I also cook these at home. Based on feedback from friends, we were of course excited about and looked forward to trying the food. The first thing I tried was the murgh chole. Maybe I expected too much, but I was underwhelmed at first bite. I can't quite pinpoint it but the flavor was off. The pieces of chicken appear to have been cooked separately. It was probably just added and mixed with the chole and sauce when you place the order. The chicken pieces didn't absorb the flavors from the sauce - the meat was tasteless. The bhindi masala was another major disappointment. It was a little watery and lacked flavor but maybe that's just how it is supposed to be. Maybe it is also not fair for me to compare the bhindi masala here with those that I have eaten elsewhere. Another thing, the okras were fibrous but it was our fault that we did not inform them about this... The keema was ok. It was very spicy but the attentive wait staff had already warned us about it.
We liked the ambience and service was great. The place was crowded. An indication of how popular it is. I rarely write negative restaurant reviews, but both my husband and I were disappointed with our dining experience at Lasbela.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sep 6, 2023
Restaurant has simple decor, and plenty of seats for big and small groups. Service was great. My waitress gave recommendations, and advices on spice level for different dishes. She was attentive and polite too.
My friend and I came for lunch, and we had the Lasbela mutton karahi, murgh malai handi, and garlic naan. The mutton karahi had the right amount of spice. The meat was tender, and the gravy was flavorful. The murgh malai handi was creamy, and not spicy. The chicken pieces are slightly over cooked but the flavors were great. For people who can't handle spice but would like to just-do-it, consider ordering the mutton karahi and murgh malai handi because the cream in murgh malai handi balances the spiciness of the mutton karahi. The garlic naan was so fragrant. It had the right amount of garlic, and it was soft. To end our meal, we had the plain burfilee which had thin slices of almond on it. The burfilee was creamy but not overly sweet. It was a good dessert. I also had a cup of masala chai. The tea was fragrant and I could taste the black tea. But it could be better if the spices were more prominent.
I would come back for more.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Andrew R.Houston, TX1118Sep 1, 2023
I visited here for a daddy daughter date night.
They treated my daughter like a princess. This was an incredible experience for her that she will always remember.
She had a mango yogurt drink and almost made it to the end. She especially like the ice cream and naan bread.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - 88349755Apr 22, 2023
I remember coming here earlier, last year, I believe, and did not end up writing a review, but I definitely wanted to write one this time. I am big on professionalism and I am happy to say that this establishment has great customer service and they bring the food out happily and promptly. They have a great setting that makes it actually feel like you're going out to eat, instead of just grabbing a quick bite. I love their white chicken karahi and the fresh bread (naan) that they give. The kalonji naan and garlic naan are fantastic. I think the prices are fair and I would definitely bring more family and friends here if I had the chance. If I lived closer, or still worked in this side of town, I would be a regular!
The man who I believe is the owner even gave a light to someone to hold up while we took family pictures and I thought that was absolutely a great and memorable touch! They really know what they are doing here!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shruthi K.Houston, TX51891816Mar 19, 2023
Avoid this place and just go to Agas Restaurant. You will get better food for the price you pay here. We ordered Hasan Zai Karahi, Naan & Jeera lassi.
They just topped the gravy in the curry with the boiled meat. The meat doesn't have the spices that are supposed to be there when cooked with gravy. The worst part was the lassi, I was expecting some kind of cumin powder to be mixed with the lassi but it was just the yogurt mixed with salt and topped with cumin seeds, seriously!!
Do not waste your money on the food here.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Dear Ms. Aga's Lover.!!!
Thank you so much for your visit & detailed review !!!
This is very unfortunate that you didn't like anything here at Lasbela !!
I truly appreciate your writing skills but your verdict on not to come to this place is little harsh......your experience could be unexpectedly not good but your persuasion to others not to visit is little Unjustified.!!!
If you recall...the staff came to your table several time to check and me as an owner met you personally and ask you about food.! I wish you could have speak to me at that time....!!!! SAD
Pls note that nobody else make Hazan Zai Karahi in entire North America!! How can you compare our recipes to any ordinary Karahi !! Also we here make Zeera Lassi with Lahori recipes not JEERA Lassi....!!!
Would suggest you not to explore anymore & take risks and better stick to Ags's for your mature palates.
God bless you.!!

I've lived in Sugar Land for 20 years and I can't believe it took me this long to find this place! A hidden gem indeed.
The outside looks very normal but the inside of the restaurant is nice, clean and beautiful. We went on a Friday night and they had live music. The food was delicious and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
We loved the charts batta chicken appetizer we got, sweet with a kick of spice. It was mild enough that my kid ate it too and enjoyed.
For entrees we got Lasbela Champ (hubby loved it) and curry, which was a bit greasy for my taste but still delicious. We got garlic naans to go with the entrees.
For dessert we had gaja kar halwa, which is a carrot purée based sweet which was delicious, and the badami ras malai which was milk based and really good too, not as sweet as gaja kar halwa if you don't like desserts too sweet.
Overall we had a great experience and can't wait to come back and try more!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
