DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET!!! They will shove your loved pet into a small crate, threatening to not give them back to you! STAY AWAY!!! and charge for blood work because they did not get to your pet in 13 hours for teeth cleaning. Please, DO NOT GO HERE!!

If I could give this place a negative rating I would! I have purposely waited over a month to do this review to ensure I was not speaking out of pure emotion.
I had taken my dogs there for the last few years- it's not fancy, but for shots and one other time for dental clinic it was ok. But this last time- was the last time!
Two dogs- for dental cleaning and mass removal (both dogs had little masses that were documented in the pre op consultation when labs were drawn). On day of surgery, they went over dental cleaning and identified couple of teeth to be extracted in one of my dogs. I brought up with technician the location of the masses to be removed the morning I dropped them off. I turned my dogs over to technician only to find out she didn't document about the masses. 8 hours later they said they were ready to be picked up.
When I picked them up- both still had masses on them! So they underwent anesthesia without getting anything done about their masses! When I asked the staff about it, they both played dumb. I asked them to phone the doc. He never called his own staff back!!!
No one apologized for their error! The next day the doctor did leave me a voicemail telling me to call them to get them back to get their masses removed under "light sedation", but again-never apologized for their mess up! No telling what would happen to them if I l took them back to the butcher!
On discharge instructions there was no mention that they removed almost all of my dog's teeth!!! The staff NEVER said one bloody word about that!!! They were too busy trying to hide the fact they messed up and didn't remove the masses!
Working in healthcare for over 30 years- I know about integrity, errors and accountability! This place does not display any integrity - STAY AWAY from this dangerous, unprofessional, irresponsible facility! Furious and will NEVER recommend this place!

I can't say enough about how incredible this place is. Living in a big city it's hard to find a place you fully trust. Their pricing are more than fair especially for the grade A service. You know your pet is taken care of. I love that they work with our pet insurance and provide itemized bills, along with information packets as well. They have always been so helpful, professional, and they always explain everything they're doing throughout the process in a way that you understand.

I can't recommend them enough, amazing people! I fully trust them with my cat. The talking parrot saying, "Hi!" and meowing like a cat is the cherry on top.

great place just not happy that I showed up 30+ min early and still sat in the in the waiting room over 45 mins waiting to be seen. unacceptable this is the last time I come here.

I've only been here twice & highly recommended this place. I've seen two doctors one being the owner and both are so straight forward about my dog's situation. Winnie has been suffering from extreme allergies since the first 4 months of her life, she is now 3 and a 1/2 and they have been the only two doctors that have given me options, opinions and suggestions on not only how to proceed but how i can dig deeper into finding the key component that's causing her issues. They have provided her with comfort and care in every way to help resolve her issues. As well as provided me with all the resources i need. Pets are expensive let alone sick pets and my journey with Winnie the past 3 years has been extremely stressful and difficult and now with Tempe vet i finally feel relieved and have regained my hope into Winnie's overall quality of life. I really never leave reviews but i wanted other owners to know the pleasant experience I've had here. I also wanted to mention Winnie is difficult with her nail trims and the vet techs (I'm not sure their names but a few of them) have all worked together multiple times in multiple attempts to try and get it done. No matter how difficult she's being they understand and care for her and i really appreciate this so much. I love the staff here.

Terrible Terrible experience all the way around! So very disappointing! We will no longer bring our animals here.

After moving to Tempe from out of state, I was in need of a new vet to help with my very anxious pug. We initially came in to help diagnosis his anxiety as he was not sleeping, digging, and barking all throughout the night. With our previous vet, he was prescribed anxiety meds but when we went here they said they were unable to prescribe anything until the did blood work and tests (which were about $300 total) even though they could very much see how anxious my dog was.

My pup is so anxious that he freaks out whenever anyone gets near his feet to cut his nails, etc that he will bark, scream, and wiggle. They ultimately said my pug was "vicious" and unable to be helped unless they put him under anesthesia which they proceeded to book him for the next morning totaling up to about $500, when I initially came in just to get prescribed medications and a nail trim.

I went a while without writing this review but thought it was important because I went to two other vets after this, and although my pug freaks out and suffers from anxiety, every other vet has been able to hold him down and comfort him in a way where they're able to do what they need to do. Also, with all tests, medications, and things needed to be done, it was a total of $180 compared to the $500 from Tempe. Compared to other vets, Tempe vet was unprofessional, overcharging, and not understanding and compassionate with their customers. My pup and I left feeling judged from the staff and overall not helped at all with his continuous struggling anxiety.

I cannot thank Dr. Wells and his staff enough for their continued guidance, care and attention they've given to me and my three dogs over these last three years.

I appreciate that Dr. Wells provides ample information with any diagnosis or follow up. I know that this comes from decades of expertise but also a loving and informed place. I know this is to help make sure that I'm making the most appropriate decisions when it comes to the health and well-being of my pets.

With more expertise and feedback, there is less ambiguity. And, when there is less ambiguity, there is no regret in how I've navigated their care.

I am positive that because of his attention to detail and the staff's personal touch, the final chapters for my two oldest dogs have been more gentle, sweet, and comfortable than I could have ever hoped for.

I highly recommend this office!!!! They are very knowledgeable and give great advice. Our family has been coming here for years with several of our cats. They are incredibly kind and compassionate. We had to have our kitty put down today and it was so hard but they made it as kind as possible!! We will continue to come here and if you are looking I would suggest you give them a try.

Let me start off by saying that I never leave reviews unless a place really wows or disappoints me. However, Dr Wells and his staff deserve 10 stars! I call and have a question during the day, and the doctor always follows up with me the same day! Today, I called with a non urgent medical question for my dog who is having a non emergency blather issue. Dr Wells called me and spent 10 minutes on the phone with me at 730 at night! My old vet would have never done this! I am so glad to find a reasonable, honest, and communicative vet. Thank you all for everything that you do! Max, Jack, and Cassie
