The Golden Goose American Grill

Food was amazing - portions were so huge my husband and I both had dinner for the next night, too! My Voodoo Pasta was SO delicious and was loaded with chicken, shrimp and sausage. My husband's pasta with meat sauce was wonderful, too! Just what we wanted after a day of hiking...

Daniel took great care of us, and was very friendly and attentive! His margarita recommendation was spot-on. Will definitely come back next time we're in town.

I went here as a party of 3. The reviews said this place was good but our experience here was a total nightmare.
The tables were so close to others we could hear people's conversations.
The service was terrible. They didn't bring us straws or the food we ordered. We ordered an appetizer and received something else.
The calamari tasted like it was pre made frozen food from target. It was like a frozen cold piece of rubber.
We then ordered their "special" thats was NOT special at all. It was raw steak. It was bloody undercooked raw.
I don't recommend going here unless you want parasites in your body.
DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!

I have been in Sedona for eight days now and I believe I ate at the Golden Goose for six of those nights. I sat at the bar every night and I was helped by Josh, Tina and Judi (I hope I got that right).

To be honest my only complaint is that they all seemed overworked. they could really use a bar back.

I had either the New York strip or the brisket burger every night and I was never disappointed. Thank you!!


It is in front of a Best Western Hotel and this makes for guilt free drinking. just a short walk to my bedroom!

This was such a beautiful little restaurant, and the entire stuff was incredibly kind. My server was Juan and was excellent. I have a gluten and a diary allergy and he was very helpful. He even gave me a tip where to catch a seller sunset. The hostess (didn't get her name) was also especially nice. Thank you to everyone there.

I had high hopes for The Golden Goose after a day exploring Sedona, but this spot was definitely a let down. The Caesar salad tasted like a bagged make-it-yourself salad kit from the grocery store and half the lettuce was brown/old. The dressing on this salad was identical to the Caesar salad kit from Sam's Club! The calamari appetizer had NO flavor... Very plain tasting batter with no seasoning whatsoever. The Bourbon Sirloin meal I ordered was also nothing special. The steak was overcooked and saturated with a "bourbon" sauce that did not have any bourbon flavor. The only real redeeming factor for this restaurant is the view of iconic Sedona red rocks from their patio.

The host was very awkward and originally sat us with lunch menus at 3:45pm, only to return minutes later and remove the lunch menus and replace them with dinner menus. We were then told that lunch ends at 4... Still not sure why we were given lunch menus if we were not going to be able to order from them before 4pm. This won't be a spot that I recommend to others or visit again during future trips to Sedona.

Love the food and the service. Tonight Jose was our server. He was awesome. I had the filet special. Cooked to perfection and very tasty.

I would recommend this place 1000 times, yes.

I scoured menus from so many restaurants I swear I spent probably two or three hours looking at places in Sedona and around the area to go to eat and this place popped out at me because of one of the sandwiches they had a menu .

Of all the places I wanted to go in the two days I was in Sedona. I knew this place was a definite yes and for some reason I thought they closed at two so yesterday I ended up at McDonald's instead of here. And I wish I had use my brain and looked up this place because they are sandwich I had was so good.

I had the turkey, cranberry cream cheese sandwich, and it was grilled to perfection. It tasted so good. It was nice and warm, but not hot, which I loved. I chose not to get any sides. It does come with a side, but I knew I wouldn't eat them. I wanted to be able to eat the sandwich and have a dessert without being tempted by sides. I'm not really a french fry person anyway and they also had coleslaw which I'm not a fan of either. For a small up charge, there were other sides I believe sweet potato fries, onion rings, and something else but I wanted to see if I could save room for dessert. I went with the peanut butter cheesecake and my server told me I made the right decision she brought it out and she was not kidding. It was so good but very rich!! Just like I like my men-bah dum bum!

Let's talk about my server. Her name is Hannah and she was really excellent. She was very friendly and I think there was a table of her regulars that came in and she asked them how their Fourth of July was and it was like she really knew them and took an interest in them from the conversation I could hear. It was genuine not hey, I'm gonna be nice to you because I want a good tip. She was friendly and funny, and I really enjoyed having her as a server. She also got me in and out really quickly which I really appreciate it because I was on a time crunch.

They said they could not do take out. It is a restaurant that are supposed to do serve and cook food that's their business That's what they do. Several people were leaving without being served or seated. What a headache.

Went here for a family dinner party, food was great! Large portions, had the pasta tortellini. The cheese cake was really good. Prickly pear margaritas were sweet and very tasty.
The staff were great and supper friendly.

I drove 2 1/2 hours to get a turkey cranberry and cream cheese sandwich, made it there before 4 the waitress was late5 min, I asked if I could order a sandwich and she said no there are no exceptions, I ordered a chicken fried steak with potatoes and gravy, the chicken was 2/3 breading and 1/3 chicken it had one cookie dough scoop of potatoes, the gravy was not country style gravy but a roux with chunks of sausage, absolutely no flavor took 3 bits and sent it back, my husband ordered the meatloaf he said could have well ordered Salisbury steak, the staff was un friendly and was charged full amount, will never go back!!!
