wow, so much hate in these reviews lol. yeah the service is kinda slow, but every CB I've even been to has been packed and I'm sure it's just part of the standard. Anyone who's coming here for a Michelin-starred experience is an idiot. You come for the huge portions of decent, inexpensive food. It did take almost 30 minutes for my breakfast to come and the couple at the table next to me had a ton of issues with their order, but for $15 and more food than I could finish in one sitting, I'm perfectly content.

I'm finally completely frustrated with this specific Cracker Barrel to say don't patronize this site. The last 3 times we've been there the service has been so slow we missed an upcoming appointment. Last night we arrived, no one was in the front dinning area and we waited for 30 minutes and was never seated. The poor young lady at the front desk told us 3 times there was no one available to clean the tables and she had no idea how long it would take. By the time we decided to leave there was a line of more than 15 people waiting behind us. We decided to leave and 2 other couples followed us.
As a follow up, we drove next door to Bob Evan, was seated immediately (restaurant was about 50% full) and our food and service was excellent

Dec 20, 2022Previous reviewFor the cost and the selection and if you want the down home feel and feeling of family, go to Cracker Barrel! I almost always go for breakfast because the biscuits, gravy, grits and eggs are great. Top it off with their homemade apple butter on the last warm biscuit and not only will you be full but your day will actually go better!

It only took me a couple of minutes to make my selection. After I paid the order is now going to be ready im 55 minutes. I was 10 minutes away, did not want to wait that long so I called to cancel and get a refund. Put on hold, finally told that a manager had to approve the refund. Put on hold again then told it would take a few business days to get the refund. I don't expect to see it so I will stopping in and and going through the same ordeal again.

There has been a constant turnover of servers and apparently kitchen staff. The meal that I had today was the worst ever. The name needs to be changed to Crapper Barrel.

Wow, I don't know how I've made it this far in life without going to a Cracker Barrel. What an experience, from the rocking chairs that you can buy, to the store with just about everything, to the open fireplace radiating heat within the restaurant.
Our server Caroline was delightful, so sweet to help and quick with service even though it was the busiest time of the morning. I ordered the bacon n egg hashbrown casserole and I think everybody else was jealous when my food arrived. It was filling and delicious with a variety of flavors. The biscuits were soft and buttery. I split the beignets and they were the perfect sweetness to balance the savory.
If you want a home style breakfast at a great price, this is it.
A few tips:
- the little syrup and jam jars? adorable, take them home and use them creatively as you wish
- they now have mimosas which my friends say is new for them to have alcohol

I was at the Cracker Barrel store in Cold Springs yesterday Friday November 3rd. I always order the fish fry special because it is so good. Yesterday I was given a plate with 4 little pieces of fish they were so thin that when you cut the bread and the fish was no thicker than a coin. They were not real warm so I'm assuming they were pre-cooked. This is not the quality I am used to. Lady next to me ordered the same thing and hers was big and fresh and hot.

Took over 30mins for food.
Never received any silverware, especially when they brought us the wrong order and we told them it was wrong and asked for silverware. Waited for 20mins for correct food and silverware to come. We had to go to the hostess stand and get a a manger. Manager went to the back, Had to wait another 20mins for the manger to come back from the back, wasn't even the manger they made a hostess tell us that they would comp our food. We had multiple issues with are order, first we asked for broccoli casserole for a side, they brought the food out and said sorry I think we are out, went to check and never came back. Then we order a country fried steak and they brought out chicken, they took the chicken left the sides and didn't bring my steak out until I was finished. The refills were asked for but took forever to get back, like the servers would go missing or something.. when the servers would come to the table they were polite. Although we requested a box and they went to another table they were serving and forgot all about the box, came back 10 minutes later and said they forgot. This is the second time we've had terrible service.

Food is always cold. Service is slow. Portions are microscopic. Bacon practically raw.

There was a strange sour-like smell as we passed some tables. I ordered grilled chicken, pinto beans, and greens. They had a strange taste and were similar in taste. Not a good experience. Cracker barrel used to be decent food.

We had to wait over 1 hour for our food and they did not offer any explanation or discounts for our troubles. The food was not that great and definitely not worth the wait.
