5 o'Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill

Atmosphere is energetic. They had a DJ for a bit.
Mahi mahi sandwich was fresh. They give you a nice amount of fish. Fried pickles were different but amazing.
Barbacoa was tasty as was the burger.
Getting acknowledged and waited on is a bit on the slower side. But overall good experience.

Drop off point for the Water Taxi for Hollywood and Margaritaville Resort.

They have a very clean restroom and there's a waiting area to wait for the water taxi's return.

The best part of this place is Juan the bartender. He was friendly, put on a show with mixing drinks, and made really good drinks. I asked for a little customization on an old fashioned and he made it perfectly. The fried pickles were underwhelming and soggy with all the toppings. The bar is along the water where you can watch the boats go by.

We stopped here for a drink before taking the water taxi up to Ft. Lauderdale. It's perfect that this is the Hollywood pick up spot for the taxi since you can have a drink while you're waiting. And you're allowed to bring it on board! This restaurant bar has a great unobstructed view of the intracoastal water way. The bartenders were quick and friendly. We'll be back soon to try the food and enjoy the views.

Fun little bar that's part of the Margaritaville Resort.
It's located right on Stranahan River, so you might get to see a manatee putter by. There's a stage area for live music. For food , they have a scaled-down version of the Margaritaville restaurant menu. For booze, they have it all.

I'm a local who has eaten at every restaurant on the broadwalk. I haven't been here in 6 years, and I was pretty disappointed. Firstly, there is no happy. Second, service was extremely slow. Third, food was only decent. I will say that for $20 the dockside burger is worth it. On the other hand, the calamari was not good; there were many hard pieces. Make sure you wear flip flops because the tables are in the sand. Also, there's live music daily. If you are from out of town, though, you will probably enjoy this place because it has beautiful views and the perfect South Florida vibe.

Charming spot on the water. Tables set up on "sandy beach" Good chill electric island vibe versions of classic tunes. Limited but decent small plates menu tonight. Friendly service. Tonight seems like mostly locals and seasonals chilling vs tourists.

I've become a regular here. It's a great hidden gem. They open at 11:00 and have a small brunch menu. $20 picture of mimosas and a $15 brunch platter while overlooking Holland Park and the Stranaham River. They usually have a pretty chill music playing and sometimes have djs. They also have a fire pit table that I assume they use in the colder seasons. Service is usually pretty good, better at the bar, but the view from the Tikis on the sandy area definitely is worth the wait

So I have always loved this place around sunset time for an impromptu night out in the neighborhood. Love sitting at the bar overlooking the water taxi dock and listening to live music. I was blown away by their menu when I returned last week. What. The. Heck. Happened? They used to have a nice selection of food options (our faves were the lobster roll and conch fritters) and now they have this teeny half-ass menu of tapas type options. Ok. So I admit that thanks to our bartender, Ashley, who made excellent suggestions, we did enjoy everything we ate. And her service and attention almost made us forget about the menu change. But cmon...we will return bc we are locals and here often but why would anyone choose this spot over many of the other waterfront/bar/restaurants choices nearby when they have such limited menu items? We suspect this change is why it was so empty compared to a typical Friday afternoon. Hopefully management will see the results and go back to their old options.

After dinner we took the celebration to this gem... very relaxing by the water. The music was great. Can't comment on the drinks this time. (We don't drink on shift weeks) But they did look DELUSHHHHH!!!!! Tempting for sure. But nurses & police have strong self control. Hajajaja... The decor is on point. The location is great. The parking is a huge issue but we walked so it wasn't so bad. Overall recommend to anyone in the area.
