Tandem Bagel Company

Tandem bagel is a decent stop. Clean with friendly and helpful employees it has a decent amount of space to spread out and enjoy your meal. The bagels are good. Great selection of flavors. My only complaint is the bagels aren't chewy enough. I like a good New York style bagel. Chewy with great flavor that stands up to a nice portion of cream cheese, smoked salmon or anything else you choose to put on it. Tandem is a softer bagel. Almost bread like. In my opinion good but not great.

Bagels were great. Best bagels I've had in a long time. We tried a little bit of everything. The chicken salad was delicious, just like I like a little sweet. A must try!

Ordered a turkey chipotle on a jalapeño bagel. Nice place to visits my first time Definitely a nice cool place. Fast service.

A very spacious cafe serving tasty food and great drinks. They have a wide variety of bagels. They are only open until 2PM but serve lunch sandwiches. I was really surprised to see pizza bagels on the menu. My wife and I had pizza bagels. The bbq chicken pizza bagel was really good. The bbq sauce was impressive. I had a chocolate PB smoothie which was also really good. The food was ready very quickly as as the drinks. The person who took the order was very kind. Food and drinks were served to our table.

Heard so many good stuff about it but I'm really not a big fan of their cream cheese... got the everything bagel with chive cream cheese. It tastes like butter cream for some reason? Rather than a thick texture of the typical cream cheese it's very buttery and greasy. And the bagel seems a bit too soft. Maybe it's homemade cream cheese or something but just not what I'm expecting...

I work for usps and plenty of us drive by All of the tandem locations on a regularly..
today wasnt my first time stopping (5-7) by but it was my first Very bad experience that turned me off from any future visits..
Not only was I annoyed I had to come up with a different order since for some odd reason you've discontinued the bagel pizzas (idk maybe just this location?) despite Fact you seemed to have all of the ingredients available but I also am completely turned off from future visits due to very poor food practices.
I ordered a sandwich & salad that consisted of almost all of the ingredients needed for pizza so I know they're there‍
I guess the thing that bothered me most besides that I ordered a 1/2 dozen bagels and cream cheese that I intended to bring back to office that was just ignored is the ridiculous amount of flies getting dibs on food I orders

I just happened to end up on phone with my coworker before going back in to get missing bagels who had spends more time in that vicinity than I, who informed me how he doesn't eat from there anymore.
His reason being an incident this past summer in which he was disgusted after watching flies landing on ALL the bagels they keep out in the open. He told me that when he privately/politely spoke to an employee that employee informed him that when he started working there that he claimed he had Also brought it up to managers and higher-ups only to be ignored while apologizing to my friend.
Basically, my friend appreciated my thought but was afraid to eat bagels that flies get to eat/access to.
Sounds Highly likely owners know of this.
I thought perhaps he's being dramatic however, so I went back in to grab my missing items & I also noticed the flies since I was looking for them this time
It made me almost sick watching the flies (large regular ones not just nats) in bathroom & counter areas as I thought how I had just ingested this delicious semi decent sandwich from... nvm a full salad I plan to eat for dinner & bagels for friends at work I now can't feel good about giving..
I don't know if it's simply this location or if it's something normal to all of them but it's absolutely NOT OKAY to feed people food that you keep out in open for any and all bugs!
I think I'll check another location out and go from there but at this moment I'm allset w Hadley.
It's too bad because I Always tip workers at any place I go & they're All friendly/polite despite lack paying attention to orders.
I hope the owners see this and you do something about this ASAP despite my low belief they don't have a clue when it's so obvious‍
I don't run a business but my guess is it's more lucrative to keep customers Vs find new ones.

*EDIT* Came back to complain that I should have ALSO checked to make sure my salad was correct.
I ordered a seasonal salad (I've-had before ALSO missing ingredients in past) and paid Extra for chicken this time.
I see Zero strawberries nvm nuts nor correct greens.. not do I remember any chick peas in this salad I've tried to get done correctly 3 times
I'm Sure it's missing Much more but I don't care to go back and look at ingredients on website.
This order was created at 650 am before even opened so there's no excuse for lack effort.
You weren't busy.
They simply didn't care and made minimal effort.
Imagine if I just forgot trailers full of your packages, letters, important things needed to run a business nvm I was okay with bugs all over them JS
At this point, it would be pointless to complain by calling.
It's many hours later/I live far and I'm basically just screwed out of a half decent salad that I paid Plenty of money for after an overall experience with flies all over the food.
You've definitely lost a couple customers

Honestly the bagels are awesome, but ALWAYS check your order. If you add extras to your bagel they forget it half of the time. ALWAYs check them

my favorite bagels in western mass!!! the honey walnut cream cheese is to die for and i love all their bagels especially the sweet ones like blueberry or cinnamon!!!!!

Not super impressed by the bagels. Also wish it had been toasted a bit more. The egg they use seems like a pre-made egg disk but it's not terrible. Nothing about it wowed me, felt pretty average.

This little bagel joint really made my entire day. My boyfriend and I ordered two bagels and a pizza bagel. Let me just say, they were delicious. We ate at their outdoor seating area, which had me feeling like I was in paradise on a sunny Sunday morning. There was a smoothie thief on the loose who had stolen our smoothie. But not to fret, the staff were extremely understanding and efficiently made us a new smoothie. If Mr. Smoothie thief is reading this, do better. Also, they have the cleanest bagel store i've ever seen. It smells like heaven squeezed into 4 walls. But in all seriousness, the staff deserve to be served on a silver platter after having to deal with the domino effect madness the Smoothie Thief caused. I Tandem Bagels.
