Harrison Paint

Just stopped by at Harrison Paints in Perkins. Shawn was very helpful in walking me through a process of selecting a stain for my wood ceiling . Great place to do business.
I needed a stain for Nordic spruce wood which will become my ceiling. Shawn spotted me the moment I entered the store. I told him what I was looking for and he said if I have a sample of the wood he could help me make a better decision. I went to the car and brought the sample in. Shawn was patient with me and he applied 4 different colors before I decided. A special thanks to Shawn for helping me with this decision. The staff at this store were all very busy and were helping customers. I will revisit this store for my painting needs.

Andrew was incredibly helpful with a serious problem I was having stripping a door. He diagnosed the problem and recommended a solution. He even let us try out the product, for free, to see if it would work. It did and saved us hours of work. Very knowledgeable staff all around. I highly recommend Harrison. I'm from Michigan and was in B.R. visiting a friend who owns Door Renew, which refinishes wood doors - wish we had Harrison's in my hometown.

Everyone knows Benjamin Moore paint is the best. In my experience, Harrison Paint has great customer service. Yes, they can sometimes be busy but it's a small place with only 4-5 employees. The great thing is they will try to help in choosing the right shade or matching to an already existing color. I've bought A LOT of paint here and have been very happy with the choices. The other great thing is they will mix up a sample for you to take home and paint on the wall. This is a must if you are trying out something like gray or a bold color. The only negative I can say about this location is that they do not sell Regal Select. But you can get this at Jones Creek if you really need it.

Neighbors, we just had an amazingly positive shopping experience at Harrison Paint Co 4823 Perkins. Good-Bye Big Box Stores...Hello shopping Baton Rouge owned stores. Harrison has been in business for over 6 Decades doing right things right. Our Associate blew us away with product knowledge and confidence you won't find at big box stores. My project is unusual but Andrew did not hesitate to think out side the box and come up with a product and even demonstrated his choice of product on my project. Thank You Andrew! Benjamin Moore has excellent paint but very poor service at the Perkins Store. My first day I waited for an hour. The paint color didn't work so when I went back the second day, I was told the wait would be two hours. I am a nurse and time is critical. Imagine if I told my patients I would be in with their pain medicine in two hours. Unacceptable! When I called the customer service line, I was told that store is just very busy. They have a monopoly so unless more people complain, expect to wait a very long time for service.
