This place doesn't look too fancy, but it's very good pizza considering the price. I like that they stay open later on weekends, in case you want to come grab a slice of pizza after hitting the bars. I've been three times, and never had a bad experience. I've also tried the pupusas and they are tasty.
You will have to wait longer if you order during peak times such as Friday or Saturday nights when all the people coming from bars want food. Despite this, the pizza is really good and you can tell they make it fresh to order, so the wait isn't bad at all considering the quality of the food. It's also pretty affordable too, so you won't feel too bad about indulging your pizza cravings. They have huge pizza sizes too, so if you want to grab a pizza to share or you are just really hungry, this is definitely a good place to go.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Richard A.Arlington, VA052Jan 15, 2021
I don't recommend this place for 3 reasons.
Reason #1 the ceiling tiles is full of mold
Reason #2 steak is the SMALLEST amount amount I've seen served. The size of rice and beans is ridiculous.
Reason #3 I gave a $2.00 tip at the registrar for my take out and I asked for green Chilli, and the not so nice lady, told me it cost 25 cents. I told her that every Spanish restaurant, hands them out with the food at no cost at the request of the customer. She mocked me as say all well. This is my second and last time in this mold infected place! Mexi-cali-blue two blocks down its a MUCH BETTER!! Place, cleanner, and cheaper place to eat.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 34087410623Nov 10, 2018
ARLINGTON, VA 11/09/18 LATE-NIGHT
+Quick, cheap eats!
+Nice, friendly staff even to the drunk people that stumble in.
+The pizza crust is super thin and the sauce is mighty good.
-No loyalty rewards program.
-$5 minimum credit card charge required.
This place is a great way to consume greasy food that will help lessen the aftermath of imbibing too many drinks, earlier in the night at all the nearby bars.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Donavon W.Joint Base Andrews, MD011Jun 19, 2021

Had absolutely fantastic late-night pizza last Saturday after a night of shenanigans and libations out with the boys.
Great prices for slices. Furthermore the customer service was impeccable, the guy working there even allowed us to stay inside past closing while we waited for our ride instead of having to wait out in the cold. 5 stars!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 214692390Sep 27, 2019
A great little slice shop, they have an extensive menu in addition to their two pizzas offered by the slice. Tacos are after 8 or so at night, and they have pupusas as well! Nice ladies that work there too! Looks like their testing out a couple of new menu items, and want some feedback on the them. Recommend checking this place out if you are looking for a quick and cheap bite to eat in the area.

Updating my review due to new management: Goody's was a great option before (see my previous review below), and the new management has tried to remain faithful to what the previous owners built. My wife and I stopped in for a late night slice, and were pleased to discover that the pizza is just like it was before, with the added benefit of a refreshed interior. The new owners are friendly and clearly trying to maintain the Goody's tradition. We will definitely keep Goody's on our list!

Original review (for the previous owners):
Excellent pizza. We stopped by for the lunch special, and were not disappointed. Two slices and a drink for $5.99. The owners were there, and they were the most friendly people. We will happily return soon!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Mar 29, 2017Previous reviewExcellent pizza. We stopped by for the lunch special, and were not disappointed. The location is closed as of this past Saturday night. Can't say I hate to see it leave, other than the mozzarella sticks. Those were always bomb.
As noted before, this was a huge spot for some drunk eats but the pizza was never anything to write home about. If you got too drunk to eat it, it wouldn't hold up the next morning. The guys behind the counter usually were pretty rude, no matter if you were sober or tipsy. They wanted to charge a huge fee for some side sauces.
Won't miss it. Put in a Wise Guys instead!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Lorne E.Arlington, VA113143197Feb 11, 2018Updated review
Last night my wife and I were feeling indifferent to the contents of our refrigerator, which is usually bursting with delights. I thought it would be fun to get some delivery, no something we EVER do. Pizza came up as did Chinese, Thai, etc. Alicia came back to Pizza and started to layout her perfect slice of mushrooms and sausage. Well there is only one place I go to get pizza and that is Goodies.
The reason is that the pizza is made by a local family who was trained in the New York (they are from or where there) style of thin crust pizza. I grew up in Brooklyn and there is no other pizza for me.
I called and the young man on the phone was patient with us while we figured out what we wanted on this pie. He suggested we get a pie when getting four seperate slices would be as much or more.
We ordered a large pie with sausage and mushroom on one side and pinapple and onion on the other. It was ready in under 20 minutes and cost about 20 bucks. Great deal, great family, and I love to support their business. Well done Goodies.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jun 27, 2011Previous reviewI love Goody's Pizza period and let me tell you why. I am from Brooklyn and if you are from the five boroughs, not Albany or Buffalo, you will love their pizza. It is thin and the crust melds with the cheese and sauce. Perfect every time. Here is why I love them even more now. This will NOT happen to you when you go there, so don't expect it. I ordered a pizza last Saturday and when I came back for my large pie, there were two! The woman who runs the joint said take it for FREE as the guy who ordered it never showed up. She knows me as I am there on a regular basis and I am sure she appreciates my business. And here is the thing, she is generous, very generous and you will not find that at a chain or even the Italian Store (I don't buy pizza there any longer since finding Goody's).
May 25, 2011Previous reviewI grew up in Brooklyn NY and lived there into my 20's. We had a pizza parlor owned by two guys who made their own crust and I could taste their pizza from any other. I am a pizza snob. I LOVE GOODY's. And here is why. The pizza is thin, very thin, and the chef who is an old Italian, has mastered the art of marrying pizza, cheese, sauce, and crust so every bit is uniform and tasty. The pizza is inexpensive, less than the Italian store, who BTW, I used to cherish (I live blocks away). I am a Goody's fan and anyone who loves Brooklyn/NY pizza will be one too. They are super nice and friendly.

Amazing pupusas!!! Walked in because they were running a special on pupusas so I figured I'd give it a try. Didn't expect them to be some of the best pupusas I've ever had (and I lived in LA for 4 years)! I even went back for more that same day!
For anyone not familiar with a pupusa, it's a Salvadorian dish that is pretty much a stuffed savory pancake. I recommend getting the pork and cheese filling.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
