Crescent Beach

So much fun here! Could have done without so many rocks and dead fish, but we will for sure be back. Beautiful waves and water. Peaceful and only a few other families while we were there.

A beautiful quiet beach perfect for a not-too-hot summer day. One of our favorite beaches near Door County

This is Algoma's beach. It has a very pretty view of Lake Michigan. The beach is maintained well with a boardwalk running the whole length (about 3 blocks). This is where they have their annual Shanty Days festival every summer (Aug 8,9,&10 this year). My only issue is they have a problem with gulls. They leave droppings and feathers everywhere.

honestly how somebody gave this beach a one star is mind boggling....first off, nobody is ever here. Second it is beautiful, one of the most pretty beaches I have ever seen. The seagulls aren't that bad and I had no problems here.

Algoma is a fishing town. If you're a fisherman you don't care about the beach. There are at least 50 fishing charters within walking distance of the marina. The smell of fish is in most every breeze.

This beach is disgusting. Very cloudy water, dead fish on shore, water even has a putrid odor. The walk down the main pier is horrible. You will have nightmares about possibly falling in the water.
The crescent beach walk is nice and the scenery is very nice, however don't expect to use the beach.
