I've been here for both restaurant week and happy hour and enjoyed my experience each time!
I forgot what I got for restaurant week, but the food and service is exceptional. I recently came here for happy hour and was surprised by their great deals! They have select beers and wines for $5. I got the white sangria; It was not too sweet, and a great complement to the summer humidity. They also have select appetizers for half off. We got the fried calamari (delicious, great size), arancini (a cheesy fried risotto ball), truffle popcorn (mmmm truffle), and the pommes frites (the truffle & spicy aioli was delicious as well as the fries).
What really distinguishes this high end restaurant from others is their service. I've been to a fancy, upscale, french style restaurant where my boyfriend and I experienced subpar service (and we were the only ones in the restaurant too). Given that we are asian and look like we are 15 year olds, they probably thought we were too young and assumed we weren't going to tip well. Trust me, as a server, I know that is exactly what they were thinking. Anyways, at 2941 my boyfriend and I were treated with great and friendly service, which we really appreciated!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Craig D.Rockville, MD31246571Mar 10, 2024Updated review

This restaurant is what dreams are made of!! Ohhhh, WOW!!!!! We went for there for our very FIRST time on a Saturday and parked at the building's business parking garage. First, you have to walk a little to get to the steps dow to the absolutely GORGEOUS cobblestone walkway that leads you up to the ever so beautiful pond filled with these tiny and, oh, so lovely little red koi! They became all skittish as we approached, but we just kindly stood still and took in the moment and snapped a few photos.
We then proceeded further down the beautiful cobblestone walkway to the restaurant where it just became more AMAZING since we could then begin to hear waves crashing and started to wonder where they were coming from! We turned the corner, and there it was!! A gorgeous waterfall with HUGE KOI JUMPING and curiously looking at us wondering if we were going to feed them!!?!?? LOL!! It certainly was quite the experience to begin our dining here for the very first time!!
Since it was our first time here, we opted to go with the Chef's Tasting Menu so I added the wine pairing since my friend was the DD (thank you). Can I just say that this was most likely one of THE...BEST...EXPERIENCES...OF...MY...LIFE??!!???!!! Wow!!!! Just WOW!!! Mind BLOWN!!!!! NO WONDER this restaurant is so acclaimed and won so many awards!!!! We will most definitely return again and again, but only for very special occasions since the price is not for the faint of heart, but the quality of service throughout the incredibly fabulous Chef's Tasting Menu, and I do mean F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S, will have us returning FOR SURE!!!!!!! From start to finish...all of our servers and sommeliers...everything was SPOT ON!!! We could not have asked for anything more, and we left the restaurant extremely satisfied and our tummies full and over the moon!!!! Thank you so so much for the wonderful service and ever so incredibly scrumptious food!!!!
NOTE: Yelp only allows TEN photos/videos so I could not post everything I wanted to, but TRUST ME ON THIS...I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant!! I forgot to mention that we ordered both things on the entire Chef's Tasting Menu since that's the way to DO IT!!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 93917566117Jan 7, 2024Updated review
Came here for my birthday dinner. As always, the service was perfect and the decor is still stunning!
We decided to get the tasting menu and I got the wine pairing with it.
I started with three baked wellfleet oysters. They were served warm and the bone marrow added an extra depth of flavor. Next was the sea scallop "tagliatelle". This was outstanding and my favorite dish. They cut the scallops like tagliatelle. It was served in a clam broth with two clams. Wow. I would like to try to replicate this dish for a future dinner party. Next course was a veal breast in a Hungarian paprika risotto. Poor veal- the risotto totally upstaged you!! It was creamy deliciousness! The next course was a venison chop. It was good at dinner and the next day. Dessert was ok.
Really love this place.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 1Sep 23, 2022Previous reviewMet a friend at the bar and we decided to indulge in the prefix dinner. It was awesome! I started with the Caesar which really it the spot. It's a bit deconstructed but still had the delicious anchovies. She started with the calamari. Incredible- probably the best I ever had. I had the seafood risotto as my entree and it was very creamy and flavorful. He said the secret was marscapone. The dessert was a home run. Pistachio ice cream with chocolate thingy with pistachio. Wow.
No use going on and on about the stunning decor. The service was great. I need to come here more often.Apr 24, 2021Previous reviewIt was about 8:40pm on a Friday night during COVID. We had unexpectedly arrived at our fav Thai place to find it had just closed 10 min earlier for the evening.
I tried calling nearby 2941 but no one answered. So, we decided to just show up. They said they could seat us but the kitchen closed soon and we needed to get our order in.
We got a great table and the restaurant was relatively full. There was even a wedding proposal mid evening that the entire restaurant clapped. I love the ambiance of this restaurant. The service was great too. Our waiter took good care of us.
I had the Bromance cocktail and highly recommend it! It had Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Screwball peanut butter whiskey, and Embitterment chocolate bitters. Garnish was a mini Reece cup! I know it sounds weird but trust me, it was delicious!
We started with a green salad that was refreshing. It wasn't on the menu but just had baby greens and edible flowers and a simple light dressing. My friend ordered another one it was so good! My friend got the appetizer tuna tartar for his main. I got the main course soft shell crab. OMG!!! Best soft shell crab I have ever had in my life! It was one crab cut in half. It was perfectly breaded and crisp. The inside was juicy. It was savory and served with a sweet corn. I am ruined forever for soft shell crab! We finished with the pina colada dessert- pineapple with coconut ice cream. It was ok.
We avoided the tempting tasting menu because we weren't that hungry. Still 5 star, I love this place!Aug 26, 2016Previous reviewBeen here so many times and always loved it. This review is for restaurant week.
The bread basket contained a honey wheat bread and an olive bread served with butter.
They didn't have the Pinot noir on special ($60) so they sent the sommelier over to help. But I saw an Sicilian wine I wanted.
We started with the salmon tartare that was absolutely incredible. OMG. I will dream of this dish!! The salmon was fresh and cold and the flavor unforgettable. My friend had the ceviche and loved it too. A perfect medley of flavors with a hint of cilantro.
The lamb was truly outstanding, there were about 4 medallions and three lollipops. It was perfectly done medium rare and cooked to perfection. It sat on a bed of couscous with green beans and pea pods.
I ordered the blueberry dessert and it was ok. A blueberry thing with a cake and some fresh blueberries. My friend ordered the Black Forest cake and that was damaging. I thought it was the best.. And then.... Some guy comes by our table and drops 2 "beignets" off. It was like Krispy Kreme had babies. Seriously? Do you think there is no tomorrow? Do u think there is no future swimsuit season ever?!! Ok. I ate it and it wa amazing. Hot and fluffy in the middle with a glaze outside that was lemony lime. At least there were only two bites ( one per person). But then... Someone brought out two more! Did they make a mistake? Why r they torturing me?!! Ok I inhaled the second one . Oh so delicious. Roll me out of here! I am definitely coming back!! - 396310614468Nov 23, 2023

Upscale American restaurant in the bottom floor of an office building
The menu here is pretty classic American...think upscale meat and potatoes.
I got the short ribs and they were very tasty, but also pretty fatty. Also, it was a huge portion but it only came with one little cup of fried potatoes on the side.
Pretty solid dessert menu. In fact, they have their own pastry chef. I got a chocolate martini and it was delicious
Large bread basket with a bunch of different kinds of fresh bread

We had a lovely meal to celebrate a friend's birthday. The restaurant is certainly in an unexpected location but it was surrounded by beautiful falls and the restaurant felt fancy. The service was superb-5 stars for sure. We opted for the Chef's stating menu and the waiter explained every course and they were all served together. Some of the dishes were absolutely stand out. The broccoli veloute and scallop noodles were excellent. A few dishes left something to be desired (the mushroom Wellington didn't feel like an entree portion and the yolk in my raviolo was overcooked) which is why it misses 5 stars for me, given the hearty $120 price tag. But i would absolutely return, especially for the stand out cocktails!

We had an excellent meal at 2941. I ordered a Butter Poached Lobster and also a tartare. Everything was executed perfectly and I really appreciate that there are smaller sized portion options so that you can choose multiple dishes to enjoy. Waiter was nice and knowledgeable, and the venue is very nice as well with the ability to walk around the lake. Highly recommend.

Super pretty location and the ambience was very pleasant. We tried the tasting menu, and our waiter was incredibly nice and explained every course very thoroughly. The seafood courses were definitely my favorite, while some of the vegetarian courses were a little underwhelming by comparison. It definitely is on the pricier side, but the quality of food was great.

Just celebrated my birthday here. My friend surprised me with a new place. Very fancy and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Service was impeccable. Michael was our server and there was another guy that filled our water and kept taking away our plates and giving us new silverware. He was on top of it and we never had to ask for anything. The timing of all the food was perfect. Everything we had was scrumptious, the salad, bread, cheese, calamari and poached lobster with chicken, potatoes and Swiss chard. The complimentary birthday desserts and rum cake were gorgeous. Everything we had was a piece of art and the presentation was amazing. Came on a dark rainy night but it looked gorgeous outside and will come back. A hidden gem tucked away.

I'm putting three stars because I can't put three and a half. A nice restaurant in a nice location. Some dishes were great, and some were just ok or decent.
The appetizers were amazing: great oysters, the tuna tartare and Caesar salad (especially the dressing) were phenomenal. The main course was good, but I expected better. And no one at the table raved about their dishes either, but yet the desserts were redeeming.
The service was mostly attentive. It did lag a bit, but it was all good.
The place has a nice vibe, and I wouldn't hesitate to come back. Tonight just wasn't quite five stars all the way around. I would give it a solid 3.5 though!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
