Not great pizza. We stopped by for a quick slice on an afternoon; they don't even reheat the slice, but just grab it straight out for you. As you can imagine, it's pretty lukewarm, floppy, not super flavorful, and overall just very plain. Dough feels bready (and not in a good way).
Would personally avoid and instead just go to a better place!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 493110259Apr 6, 2024
The bbq slice was ok but definitely better than the white slice. Bbq slice has chicken so it was fun eating that more than a slice with no meat/ no sauce. The bbq flavor is light in taste seeming watery but more plenty on top than other places bbq slice.
-the white slice wasn't that enjoyable since it has no tomato sauce or meat. Cheese n bread white slice was ok, the white ricotta cheese is ok nothing too crazy. For the price though you can't complain, not bad and would buy again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lynne C.Largo, FL117Apr 19, 2024
Ah man!! just read reviews about 2 bros. Totally went downhill since I came back there in 2009-2013 on a count that I moved from NYC. But from what I remember, pizza was pretty good priced. 2 slices and a drink for like 2.50 or 2.25. Can't remember. Disappointing to read these reviews. I love the spirit of NYC especially Manhattan. I do miss the Pizza and the Chinese food. One thing I do love about many things from my city is WE are VERY opinionated people. Straight up. I go to Florida and they like, Ma'am please don't get angry!! I'm like "I aint angry". But in NY We are just loud and proud. Keep being you NY!!! We rock!!

Nassau st location, two thumbs down. SERVICE is better if your Latin descent.
Stating, I wanted my slices to go. Instead, he places my food on the top glass counter without bagging. Immediately, dumb ass starts a conversation in Spanish with the customer who came after me. I announced again, I wanted my food to go. He ignores me. Customer deliberately moves her mouth an inch from my food. In total disbelief!!! OMG'!!! When dumb ass felt ready, he bagged my food. The customer got a bit mad bcuz I interrupted her convo. I decided, not cause a scene even after she kicked my hand cart. When I walked outside, I threw your contaminated food in the trash. Returning days later, leaving my tel #, requesting the owner get in contact with me.
To this day, and it's been over a month, I haven't heard from anyone as one of the boys behind the counter stated on March 4TH, his busy. RIGHT. GFU.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - 1567274373Jan 12, 2023
I had a very dear friend visiting NYC for the first time and one of her requests was a cheese slice that NY is so well known for.
I am in East Village pretty often and had stopped in many times before for a late night slice on St Marks Place. This establishment is no frills...especially at night when they close the inside and you are not able to sit. But that is no problem as there is a countertop adjacent to the cash register that you can lean on and it has all the spices/seasonings that people like to put on their pizzas. I knew that this was the place to bring her. We were having dinner nearby at a nice place and I also remembered that 2BROS are open pretty late so the timing was actually perfect.
There was no line and I just went in. Just a couple of people at the counter closes to the entrance. There was a displace with other slices like chicken and other toppings but we were not there for anything fancy. I asked for a plain slice which was approximately $2 and the employee promptly got the pizza and I paid.
We turned to go lean against the counter and she proceeded to put some spice seasoning and white pepper on her pizza and took a bite. She look so happy and savored every bite. She seemed to enjoy the pizza more so than the food at the restaurant we had dined at just before.
This was the simple pleasure and NY experience she was looking for and it made smile (and hungry) to see her enjoying the slice. I was tempted to snag a bit of her pizza but I wanted her to enjoy the whole slice because this is a common slice for those who live here.
Depending on how late it is, there may be some seedy individuals around or rowdy people. Luckily there was neither when we were there and the staff was diligent.
This place is not fancy but recommended for a quick and cheap slice of pizza....especially for anyone who would be visiting the city for the first time like my friend.Helpful 8Thanks 2Love this 12Oh no 0 - Dec 21, 2022
It's a 2 bros location. If there's no line you're in and out in 30 seconds and you have a warm slice of dollar pizza in your hands. There's not much to complain about. The guy is always there making fresh pizzas and the person behind the counter is nice. Size of the slice can vary but it's usually pretty consistent. It tastes good, a little doughy in the crust if you want to be critical but it's literally a dollar. I come by if I want a snack on the way home from work.

This place is so well Known, I keep giving it a try, but I just don't like these pizzas over the 99¢ pizzas a few blocks away. The pizzas are too thick with too much going on. But the service is really nice and having a place to sit is also nice. Aside from that it's really just ok.

Came here late night for a slice. Didn't finish it. Not good pizza. There are a lot of other good options such as Joes I had since that were amazing compared to this spot
