I've used Paws for Effect for three years for my two dogs (Beagle and German Shepherd) ad have been completely satisfied. My dogs are always happy to see Nicole and they are beautifully groomed. Appointments are punctual, and communication is always responsive.

For the health and safety of your pets, please avoid working with this company. Nicole, the owner is unprofessional and practices poor bedside manner for her furry clients. The mobile grooming truck is outdated and poorly ventilated - sent our dog to the ER with heat stroke! We expected the clean, professional truck in the website pictures. But Nicole arrived in the old truck, photo attached. The first grooming was okay (3/5) but the quoted price changed multiple times, and our dog was not happy afterwards. But that happens with new groomers and we wanted to support a locally owned business. So we booked a 2nd appointment.
Round 2 was a disaster and we almost lost our dog to heat stroke. After a full day in the pet emergency room, Nicole refused to answer calls and texts. No offer to refund based on her poor service and danger to our dog. The veterinarian explained that our dog's heat stroke was brought on by high temperatures in the grooming truck and anxiety induced by poor treatment. Our dog went into Nicole's truck perfectly healthy and came out with a black tongue, unable to walk straight and eventually passed out. Nicole didn't notice and left with no remorse. She is unfit to be trusted with the care of your pet.
Additionally, Nicole increased the price of the 2nd appointment but spent 1/3 of the time with our dog. We're assuming this is because the appointment took a turn for the worse when our dog fell ill. But we don't know because Nicole refused to answer calls and texts after the appointment. She did not follow-up when we informed her our dog was in the ER. The customer service is shocking. I'm sorry to leave such a poor review but I would have for other pets to endure such dangerous conditions.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
