Have not been to this location in over 10 years because I moved out of town, (however visited the Twin Falls location many times).
I absolutely love the selection they have in this store... I want them to stay open-- and I want them to continue selling and offering all that they do. I had spent almost 2 full hours just walking around and looking at everything.
We decided to buy a game that was a spin off from "settlers of Catan". We had spent at least half an hour observing the game and deciding if this is the one we wanted. After carrying it around and putting it back... carrying it around for a little while longer... Putting it back... We finally decided to invest in this game. $40 with tax is not too bad for a game like this.
Upon much excitement.... we went home, made our dinner, and started popping open our new game. However we were missing pieces. Not just small pieces but their very big... main pieces. We looked up the one 800 number to call the manufacture. But they insisted we just write them a letter and let them know what the issues were--and with "snail mail" they would get back to us.
So we brought the game back to our local Idaho Falls store.
When we brought it back, the associate was -- to be honest-- short with us and snappy. The "manager " (or so she said was the manager), was equally as rude. They reluctantly gave us back our money back--with us producing our receipt.
About 5-6 days later, the REAL manager contacted me. He was very kind and understanding. I told him how many years I brought my kids into this store to buy books. Our family has been part of this store for over 18 years. He apologized and explained the issues.... and offered us a gift card to return. I never expected that, but was very impressed with his humility and kindness.
We all have bad days, and these 2 employees were just having a bad day. We've not only been back many times since, we've also recommended them to 3 of our family and friends.
Thank you Barnes & Nobles- I pray you will continue to remain open.....offering something the Internet can't-- amazing face to face service!Helpful 16Thanks 0Love this 14Oh no 0 - Aug 28, 2020
All workers are wearing masks. Shortened hours for cleaning. I went in with my boyfriend and felt very welcomed. The workers are very knowledgeable and helpful- even going out of their way to recommend books and provide ideas for good reads.

The condition of the bathroom was absolutely disgusting and I will never be going back. The sinks had at least 5" of standing water in both of them and were badly clogged. The lights above the sinks were burnt out. The floor was wet both in the main area and each stall. The trash cans were overflowing and there was trash at the base of the base of each toilet.. There was a Box on the sink so you could somewhat dry your hands. I left the bathroom and immediately sought out a manager, a bald headed gentleman with glasses who was sitting Indian style on the floor handing out items to 3 booksellers. I detailed the condition of the bathroom and he laughingly shrugged it off saying there are other bathrooms in the mall. I said but you're the manager of this store and it's your bathroom where there's the problem, right? He had 3 employees with him right then and there who should have immediately gone and taken care of this Sanitation issue because it was a liability for customers to be in the dark with wet floors overflowing with trash and standing water that wasn't going down.
I went to the front of the store and asked if this gentleman was the highest manager there and they confirmed that he was. I again detailed the condition and invited the bookseller I spoke to to go ask one of the female employees to go in and they could see how bad the conditions were. For the manager to not care when he obviously had extra bodies to go in to empty the trash mop up the wet floors and get the sinks unclogged was irresponsible.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Queenie L.Idaho Falls, ID4534Aug 26, 2019
I was just amazed at the great service I got yesterday at the Barnes and Noble in Idaho Falls. Suzanne, Colton and Anna were exceptional! So friendly, professional and very helpful! Thank you so much for the great service, I will definitely be back!

The employees are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They always have events going on with authors doing signings and what not. Our drinks are always done right at the cafe and very quickly. We come here at least once a week, usually on Sundays, it is the best day to go, because it's not very busy.
I'm deducting one star for this rating because the bathrooms are terrible. Seems like they need to put some sort of accountability system in place to have an employee check it at least once hourly and mark it off a checklist.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jared G.Los Angeles, CA106496Jan 31, 2017
So nice to have a book store. What we don't need is a high pressure sales pitch to join the loyalty club. Salesman Colton was very agressive in his sales pitch and even continued to push and seem very annoyed after we said no. Had to say no 3 times. Rediculous.
They finish the transaction with...you could have saved this much....blah blah blah.
Maybe bookstores should just die?Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michael J.San Francisco, CA703Sep 21, 2017
Staff is friendly and helpful. Especially the assistant manager, Chet. Helped us get everything we needed and gave us a great laugh!

This isn't the best Barnes & Noble I've been to but it's pretty good.
Things to Know:
1. The cafe gets very busy on Friday Nights and Saturdays, so be prepared to wait in long, slow-moving lines. Also, there is a high likelihood that your order will come out wrong or tasting sub-par. It's best to visit the cafe during a slower hour of the day.
2. The store is located in the Grand Teton Mall, so if you are looking for a quiet experience don't plan on it happening on Friday Night or Saturday. Teens are especially out if force.
3. This store has had a lot of events going on, from small music groups to local author events. They're entertaining but if the event is especially noisy it carries through the store.
4. Employees are generally helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
5. This location finally has free-wifi :) and it's about time!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Joanne B.Idaho Falls, ID04Apr 20, 2012
I love Barnes and Noble. The selection of books is great. You can just sit and read a book or get a coffee and play on your ipad. Its really awesome to listed to other talking about their favorite books. Glad to see that some book stores are still in style.
