Ill be short and sweet. I love this place because of their weekday specials. I went on their website and it said "1/2 off pizzas and wine all day." So im thinking great! I order a pizza for pick up, and get there and its full price. The bartender said that I got the day mixed up, so I showed her my phone (where it clearly says 1/2 of pizza and wine), so she shows it to the manager, and comes back and says sorry its our mistake.
Ive worked in food and bev for over a decade, and anytime that we (the restaurant I worked at) made a mistake, we corrected it. If the customer made a mistake, then its up for discussion. So the manager didnt give me the 1/2 discount that was stated on their website, and I left for a 20 min drive home (I only drove out because of the deal).
Sad because I really like this place, but have such a bad taste in my mouth from the experience with the bartender and manager. Oh Well. -
Without going into a crazy amount of detail, took my dog here a few weeks back to do a self wash. They had everything you need, towels, dryer, great shampoos. My one critique is that it's 20$ to wash your dog. A lot of places I've been offer the same service, but charge a lot less.
I think a better price point for this place to remain in business is closer to 10 a wash, with a loyalty program or something. The last place I went to had 10$ washes, it would sell 5 washes for 25$ (pet supplies plus in Raleigh). These places make their money by getting repeat customers, and I would gladly take my dog here once a week or so if the prices weren't so high. Great service, clean place, would recommend to a friend, but caution about the self-wash price being pretty high.8/6/2019 -
I used to like coming here often, but they raised prices by over 20%. All the other locations prices have remained the same, but the new owners at this location made the choice to raise prices. Will happily go out of my way to support other locations who haven't gouged their customers. 19$ for a chicken? raised from 15$.

Talk about a culinary experience..
Wild common combines all that is great about Low country cuisine; vivacious local meat, fish and produce prepared in a new yet familiar fashion, with the warmth and coziness of the weekend at grandmas farm.
Chef Orlando and his team have brought together simplicity and elegance to wonderful combinations of flavor, depth and texture. He has a history of working with some of the best chefs on both coasts, and his time spent with Sean Brock reflects in his creations.
The scallop crudo was the best scallop dish I have tasted to date, elevating new and exciting taste profiles to a whole other league of its own.
The foie-gras Cavetelli will have you wondering if there are any limits to this Kitchen staffs prowess and creativity. This is a MUST visit in Charleston. This city has over 1000+ restaurants in a 2 mile radius, and this location will soon be at the top.
Duck, local fish from Mark, oyster preparations, desserts, lamb...each and every ingredient they use is either sourced locally or from sustainable farmers across the South East. The freshness speaks for itself.
I recommend pairing the courses with the great selection of wine varietals this establishment caries. Simons knowledge and passion for the great wines of the world all come together to a place they can call home: Wild Common
I have been eating in this town for some time, and can not be happier that this place has popped up. Completely holds to the Charleston Golden Standard.
