Delicious drinks and food with great company----what more could you ask for?!

I really enjoyed my hummus dish... The veggies were extra fresh and crops! I bet it's organic because it was easy to bite into! I also lovvvved my Sour Girl drink. Well balanced.

Great experience so far! Half off their drinks on opening day. I had NO IDEA this store wasn't open yet until today. I took a long walk, then heat and humidity led me to here.

I got the QQ Happy Family Milk Tea (my usual at any Sharetea) and substituted red bean for aloe. I was recommended to lower my sweetness level since their recipe was modified to American standards, that worked out well for me. Though the caffeine content seems to be there, I can't really taste the tea. I like that they use medium sized boba, which is smaller than average. It's definitely chewy, like a day old gummy bear, and not soft/mushy. Perhaps there could have been a little bit more of every topping in the drink, but I enjoyed the freshness of IT. (I ran out of toppings before I finished the drink.) Also, not sure if it was the grass jelly that made the drink have an herbal aftertaste.

They are brand new, and still have things to set up and kinks to work out. Will review again after I've tried more drinks and the staff has had more time to get used to more orders. (My drink took a while and I saw that they had to make it twice, plus there is a manager inspecting each drink made.) The staff is friendly and they have their own stampcard loyalty program!

Have your cameras out & ready to take your pics FAST - - - and grab EXTRA napkins because its about to get real MESSY!

Their milk and green tea flavor is consistently good. Sesame and Ube are a hit and miss some days. The sweet soft serve is filled in a fresh and warm taiyaki, a fish shaped waffle cone... because sometimes the wait is just ridiculous, so there's not enough time for fresh batches to chill!

My wallet has gotten thinner and my waistline thicker! This is a pricy dessert in cost and calories! Some days I'm lucky and will get someone who fills up the taiyaki or cup right, and I feel like I somewhat got my money's worth. Other days it looks like a sad lil stump with a giant hole in the middle. I do like that you can pick one or all of the toppings for them to sprinkle on. But you only get to choose between a strawberry or half macaron on top of that. I recommend getting a cup and putting your taiyaki on top if you're a slow eater like me!

Solid 4 stars. I've been infatuated with their soft serve since they opened a long while ago. This review is definitely overdue. My photos probably won't show up but they're in the gallery somewhere!

I miss their banana and chocolate swirl! I'm still waiting for them to bring it back! ((DOOO ITTT!))

This review is for the use of space only.

Chimaya does a good job in maxing out wall space and highlighting talented local Chicano art. There are two large rooms for featured artists, a small room in the back for and a couple of nooks n crannies joining rooms for other select artwork. Even an area that is presumeably a gift shop looks like a Frida Kahlo shrine. Wall space also is used leading up to the restroom as well.

I like how they used different colored walls to accent artwork. Better than boring old white, cream or black.

There is a small back patio area where guests can sit and mingle over non alcoholic refreshments.

I didn't take time to speak to anyone there because I was solely present to support my art mentor and her work. Also, I got a lot of looks for "standing out."

I've only had the pleasure of visiting a couple times at this studio, one of which I got to witness the second to last live airing of Love Line, and the others have been for the awesome Red Bull Sound Space maaaany years ago. They shared this space with 93.1FM.

There has been so much pop culture & music history and super cool people who have visited this KROQ studio. I took pictures once but never had the time to post it. I wonder what their new studio will look like! Building was clean, staff were.... KROQ staff.

Their shows used to be much more raunchy... It's so tame now. Plus, we only get maybe only 3 hours of Kevin & Bean Live thoughout the whole morning! What's up with that!

#Latepost of a hallway in the KROQ studios! :)
