Bob represented me in a complicated case after getting hit on my bike, and I can't say enough about how taken care of he made me feel through the whole grueling process. He is an amazing lawyer (who also bikes to work himself, writes a great bike newsletter, and advocates for improved biking laws), and I feel so lucky to have had him represent me. He did all the hard work of dealing with multiple insurance companies and filing tons of paperwork while I was able to focus on healing. It sucks getting injured, but there is nobody better to get you through it than Bob and Washington Bike Law!

Tony Fisher and Guild Mortgage were fantastic to work with to buy our first home. We were using a VA loan, which is notoriously tricky, but Tony was a complete expert. He guided us through all the steps and made the process as stress-free as possible. It was amazing to have a loan officer who even returned our calls on the weekend (which we weren't expecting at all!) and who got us a fantastic rate. He even sent a welcome package to our new home with a bottle of wine to celebrate! We can't say enough about working with Tony. Thanks, Tony, for making our first-time home purchase so rewarding!

I've been to Diedrich twice now, and I just love it! I've had the same barista both times (she works in the evening), and she's just as friendly and sweet as can be. She has lots of recommendations, and she makes a mean latte! I'm very happy to live near this coffee stand!

A bit crowded for my taste, but the food is so delicious! My favorite is late night happy hour when the crowds have died down and the food comes quickly. My first visit was perfection - fried chicken and iceberg wedge on a biscuit with blue cheese dressing - SO good! I also had the hand-dipped corndog and totally loved it! The second time I came I got the blue-cheese chicken sandwich again, and the chicken was pretty fatty... still tasty but left my mouth with a pretty serious grease slick. I'll definitely go back though - the first time the chicken was so perfect that I'm hoping the 2nd time was an anomaly. 4 thumbs up!

Bassotto is my new favorite homework spot. Their coffee is delicious, bagels are fresh (try the Naughty Rabbi breakfast sandwich with serious smoked salmon in the cream cheese), and don't forget a warm, flaky hand-pie filled with gelato. I'm munching on one as I type, filled with horchata gelato, and it is so so so damn good!

Meh. Got the #3 pho - mix of sirloin and brisket - to go. The meat is fine - not very tender but not bad. I found the broth to be too clove heavy and missing the delicate undertones I'm used to from Than Brothers in Seattle.

Update - I gave them a second chance, and this time was even worse than the first. Sorry Thanh-Long, I cannot eat greasy broth, overdone noodles, and gristle in my sirloin. That's it for me.

I stopped in for the first time last week, and I've already returned for a second sandwich. SO GOOD! Both times I've had the Italiano, which is gooey with fresh mozzarella and aioli, and has a generous helping of perfect Italian sausage. The bread is perfectly toasted in the panini press with a satisfying crunchy outside and a soft inside. I want to try the chicken pesto and the caprese, but it's going to be hard to tear myself away from that amazing Italiano!

A fantastic little coffee shop! The barristas are friendly and the wi-fi is fast. My double espresso had a fantastic crema and my soy latte was well-balanced and served in a beautiful hand-painted mug. I also snacked on a strawberry cream-cheese sugar bun, and it was just as good as it sounds. They didn't seem to mind me hanging out pretty much all afternoon working on my laptop.

Mostly, I'm just excited that we have a coffee shop in Rainier Beach now. Please stay, South Beach Espresso!

Had my first experience with Gorilla Graphics today, and they have a new lifelong customer! Great customer service, easy process to email pdfs and then pick up the print order, and very high quality printing. Plus, the owner even upgraded my paper so the finished product is glossy and the color is crisp. Well worth the bargain price of $.29/color copy. I'll be proud to hand these one-sheets out to my customers.

Out with Kinkos and in with locally-owned Gorilla Graphics!  I will definitely be back!

A much needed date-night landed my boyfriend and me at Delancey last night. Every aspect of our dinner was absolutely splendid! It was Saturday night and the small restaurant was definitely crowded, but the hostess graciously gave us menus to choose some wine while we waited. The 20 minute wait turned into about 6 minutes, so before we had a chance to order wine we found ourselves at a table in the cute, sparsely decorated dining room. Unlike some previous reviewers, we loved the decor which included a saute pan overflowing with orange persimmons and a delivery box with healthy-looking onions. We ordered a bottle of wine, the French red. I forget the name but it's the only French red on the menu and it was heavenly - dark with hints of blackberry, chocolate and toasted pecans. We split the buratta and oohed and ahhed our way to the main course of of Crimini pizza - a perfect balance of olive oil, thinly sliced mushrooms, and circles of gooey fresh mozzerella - followed by the chocolate chip cookie w/ gray sea salt. We were stuffed, even bringing home half the cookie. All of this for... you won't believe it... $57 including tip!!! For 2 people in Seattle with a bottle of wine, appetizer, entree and dessert! Unbelievable! We loved absolutely everything about it. And the waitress was very kind, even bringing us a plate of olive oil and sweet balsamic to dip our crust.
