This place is just amazing and the people running it are even more amazing. We were staying out of my car for 2 nights up at the river but my back couldn't take it anymore and in deep need of a real bed. So, we were referred to come here by a small general store we ate at. I am so glad we did. The guys here are so incredibly hospitable and the rooms are nice. No TV but who needs that when you're out at the Kern. They even let us check out at 4pm, 5 HOURS AFTER normal check out time. The guy who owns the place also owns some of the land on the other side of the river so you're allowed to have an open drink and just walk around, how great is that! On top of all this goodness, their restaurant is to die for because of not only the food but also the atmosphere. Definitely our place to go back to when we're at the river.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I LOVE the Downey location and have been there several times, everyone there is so polite and helpful but this Buena park one has a bunch of ditzy girls who can't do their job correctly. My boyfriend and I ordered a sandwich and asked if we could get a different bread with it; we were told yes. 35 mins roll by and we still don't have our sandwich. I go up to the counter and ask why it's taking so long..."We actually can't make your sandwich with the bread you wanted" OKAY SO WHY DID NO ONE COME AND INFORM US AND HAVE US WAIT SO LONG AND WHY WERE WE TOLD WE COULD HAVE IT MADE IF WE REALLY COULDN'T "oh we thought someone came and told you and she was misinformed about how the sandwiches can be made" INFORM YOUR EMPLOYEES BETTER INSTEAD OF FIXING YOUR MAKEUP AND BATTING YOUR LASHES. I realize this sounds like a rant but it was upsetting that they can't take care of their customers who wait so long in line in the first place.  If we didn't go up to the counter, we probably would have waited even longer. That's horse shit. On top of that, to make up for their mistake, we got offered a couple cheese balls. CHEESE BALLS, THE CHEAPEST THING THEY COULD MAKE. We got our money back but if you really wanted to make up for the mistake why not just give the sandwich then. 5 bucks wouldn't make a difference to your business now would it.

I absolutely LOVE it here. Walking in made me feel so relaxed and the girl at the front desk is so nice and helpful. I love that they offer beverages and take good care of their customers. Tom did my hands and they turned out so beautiful and my feet look renewed thanks to Huyen (they were long overdue). I am definitely going to come back!

DO NOT GIVE YOUR BUSINESS HERE. Zero stars if possible.
My boyfriend and I wanted to come here since it looked fun and quirky so I called to ask if he had any rooms available. He told me that I had to check myself online. I should have just taken that as cue that this guy is not worth giving business to. Either way, we still made reservations online and arrived there at about 9:45pm, after going to a concert.
When we first got there he was nice and welcoming and asked about the concert and what not. We then went to our room (which although small, was very cute and well cleaned). After unpacking we decided to leave to get some food. As we were leaving the parking lot, he stopped us and started to yell at us because he didn't like the way my boyfriend reversed out of the parking space and called him erratic then said we would have to park next to the office instead of our teepee. We agreed, quite stunned, and proceeded to leave. Once we came back from getting food, he came to us yelling once again and continued to call my boyfriend erratic and accused him of being intoxicated even though he didn't have one drink the whole day and night. He said a normal person doesn't back out of a space the way my boyfriend did and then told us to check out and leave. We asked if we would get our money back and he said he process it in the morning because no one gives returns at that hour (it was about 10:15pm). I tried to apologize (even though we didn't do anything wrong) and ask if we could stay since we had no where else to go and he downright shut me down in the middle of me speaking and continously yelled at us to get our stuff and leave. We asked if we could get a receipt then and he reminded us that he did give us one and then said that it was in our room on the floor. Once I got in the room and I saw it there, it clicked in my head that he went in our room after we left for food and looked through our stuff or else he wouldn't have known where exactly it was.
Point blank, this guy, Kumar, is a creep with major psychopathic problems who does not know how to treat guests.
Do NOT go there. Spend the extra mile to go somewhere with excellent hospitality. Not this shit show.
