When you need that coffee in the morning to stay awake.... Oh the struggle!

Awake coffee is super smoothand I really like their lavender latte. I wonder if they can make an ice version because sometimes Oakland get too hot if you know what I mean.

This place is solid and I will always come back.
Please make nitro coffee! Because this place would be cracking with caffeine addict!

This place is super hidden and it's actually kind of nice. The food is good and the vibe is super chill. We ordered the treasure boxes and I was surprised I got full from it. Maybe it's also because I had a glass of beer. I really enjoyed this place and would come back again for their rolls. The fish here taste really good and the price is not too bad.

I don't know why I waited so long to eat here but I'm so glad I pulled the trigger. The chicken was really super crispy, the meat was very juicy and super flavorful. The seasoning definitely got some kick to it and that's how I like it. The sides were very good as well. I love their potato salad because it taste like one of those old fashioned recipe. I also got some fries that I thought it was well made and the seasoning reminds me of Cajun spice. There's no way my friend would eat fried chicken without the mac and cheese so I got that too. To be honest, I don't care for Mac and cheese and never understood why people like this but to each their own. I've tried it and it was not bad but I wouldn't get it again just because I rather have more potato salad.

Great place to hang out after work just to celebrate! The soju comes in pitcher so this is a good place for small groups. Come early to get a table and be ready hungry and thirsty.

We ordered cheese corn, nachos and sweet potato fries. They were all really good and comes with Korean side dishes. The only thing that we were suprised about was that they put sugar on the fries. This is a Korean thing to do so if you don't want sugar, make sure you tell your server.

I had so much fun here and would come back again. Please park on the main street here and not the alley if you don't want broken windows.

Seem like everyone is complaining about the Korean hot dog so I didn't order that. Instead, I ordered their rice plate with spicy pork. The portion is really good and the rice comes with a layer of egg mixed with some kind of sauce that was very tasty! I highly recommend this specific dish only! I also ordered the kimbap and it was good but nothing crazy outstanding. Stick with the rice plate and you are good!

Update: Pre-pandemic review

This is your typical dim sum spot where I don't expect great service but they give you awesome food and I am okay with that. If you speak Chinese, feel free to use it because it will get you ahead of everyone else. The wait here is long during peak hours and it usually die down around 1 to 2pm so you can take your sweet time. They take phone orders and reservation only when it's a full table  again, I like the food here and the service is average.  Don't expect princess treatment...

Quick service, friendly staff, smooth coffee and it's just an overall good spot to hang out. The coffee selections is pretty standard. I didn't see any pastries because I was there at 1pm so I can't comment on those. I ordered almond latte that was good but nothing crazy that stood out to me. I think the spot itself is great because it's on union and near all the popular restaurant. The only other coffee spot nearby is Bodega and I need to try. If you need coffee feel free to support this small business!!

I remember when I first came here, I was amazed how good this place was. I was with a really hot guy but I was more interested in the hot fries than my date unfortunately. I've been coming back for over 20 years and I have never been disappointed with their sandwich except when they ran out of bread. Come here early, come here with cash, say yes on the hot sauce and order the large size because this is the place that you actually want to have leftover to bring on the next day for your lunch. Yes, it's that good.

Really nice folks here with wide open windows. It's quiet, it's clean and it's kind of hidden. If I didn't google this spot I would have missed it since it's not on the corner of the main street. They have lots of options when it comes to coffee and they serve bunch of sandwiches with artisan roll. I would come back just to hang out with friends or just read a good book.

Why does this place only take cash? Why? Why? Bring cash and lot's of it if you're hungry!!!!!!! The seafood is fresh here and everything is made fresh to order. Clam chowder taste good to me but it's not creamy like other places because there's no dairy in there. I actually appreciate this since I'm lactose intolerant. The service is really efficient and the staffs are really really nice. This place ain't cheap but it's a nice spot just to grab something to eat with a nice view outside. :)
