Great food and drinks in a laid back but upscale atmosphere. Happy hour every day 3 until 6:30. All the staff is cool too!

I had a good time here. We got spots at the bar and tried some of their specialty cocktails. Cool interior, bartenders are nice, drinks were good.
Room for improvement - I don't get why they don't open til 5:00, especially on the weekends when they have a really nice outside area in the back. Also not sure why the kitchen closes at 10 which also coincides with the end of table service. That's almost half of their time open each night with no food or table service. -
Stopped in here on a Saturday since it looked cool, and besides the aesthetic appeal it was pretty much downhill from there. I felt like they hadn't opened yet for the day and was in the middle of perpetual setup the whole time. Chairs being carried in from the back, managers barking orders at people, floor being cleaned, etc. It was uncomfortable. It got to the point where I asked the waitress what was going on and she said they were trying to accommodate a large party for that evening that was going to be spilling over from their other restaurant next door.
There were reserved signs on half the tables that weren't being used for the overflow setup and I saw multiple people come in and then leave because they wouldn't remove the reserved signs and give them these spots..... at 5:30... who are you holding these for this early? It was just bizarre.
Food was good, I'll give them that, but my nice parting gift was being overcharged on the check. Was told they had "recently lowered their prices" and the computer hadn't been updated. Glad I actually looked before handing over my credit card. Was going to give them a second shot in case it was an off-day, but this convinced me not to. -
I have to believe that the 5 star reviews on here are all completely fake. This place is in such disrepair that it's laughable. The bowling isn't bad, but man oh man the rest of it is a wreck. Over half the games in the arcade section are broken, missing parts, or somehow messed up. The bathrooms look like a war zone, draft beers are room temperature, even the fake wood laminate in the bar area is pulling up from the floor. The staff is nice though, it seems like they all acknowledge what a terrible place they're working in, like when they all gathered to gawk, laugh, and debate who was going to handle an overflowing toilet that was flooding the women's room.

It's a cool small-ish bar, it's been remodeled, but still kept its divey feel. Right next to Cactus taco stand and they'll let you order/bring in food from there.
I really want to like this place, especially since it's close by, but I always have the same feelings every time I go. Quit the cash-only thing, especially when the drinks aren't super cheap. Also, the uh, "regulars" I guess you'd say, are a bunch of jackasses. They monopolize the pool table, give attitude if they don't like what you put on the jukebox, and just make it uncomfortable for people they don't know. They act like it's some podunk locals only small town bar, but seriously guys, you're in Studio City. -
Maeve's no more! They've really fixed up the inside, much nicer place to hang out, but still has the great vibe that it always had. Every time I've gone in over the last couple of months there's been a new improvement.
Happy hour 4-7 every day with happy hour pricing all day Monday. Karaoke on Sundays. Usually a special or two on the blackboard at the end of the bar. -
Wow, all these 5 star reviews? Did I go to the same event? I had a great time for the first couple of hours, had some good beer samples and a vegan schnitzel, but then things just took a nosedive after that. One by one the beer tents began running out of beer starting at about 3:00, then the lines at any remaining breweries' tents became unbearable until they too ran out of beer. The lines for the food were also crazy long, and some of the food trucks were running out of food. Announcing last call at 5:15 was a joke considering the event went until 6, but good luck if you could find any last drops of beer remaining anywhere by that point anyway.
I got there early, and was one of the first people with GA tickets to get through the gate, but there were definitely capacity issues. Some people waited an hour and a half in line, others weren't even allowed inside even though they had already bought tickets in advance. They got refunds apparently, but that's no excuse. Maybe talk to the fire & police departments prior to the day of the event?
I'm not trying to hate on the event, I appreciate that it was held and that it supported a good cause. However, trying to cover up the major issues that occurred with a bunch of 5 star reviews pretending it was a flawlessly executed festival is ridiculous. -
Dicks. I think they might treat you well if you're a senior citizen which was most of the crowd, but I really haven't felt like more of an unwanted guest at a bar in quite a while. Took 20 minutes to get a drink because the bartenders straight up ignored us while doing things like stocking straws, restacking receipts, and avoiding eye contact. Also serving other people before us that walked up to the bar after we had already been sitting there. Finally take our order, which would have required them to pour 2 beers from taps directly in front of us, then they walked away and start mixing other people's drinks. I only stuck it out to clog up two of their seats and play my role as an undesireable. All in all it's a slowly revolving set of seats at a circular bar in a pretentious hotel. It's something to see I guess, but I certainly won't be back or recommending it.

It's a nice venue with good sound. Security is worse than TSA, they will search you and pat you down, and yell at you for dumb shit like having a necklace they deem to be too large of a chain. Nice feature is that there is a door that leads into Blue Palms Brewhouse, you just can't bring beers back with you because they want you to spend $11 on a Coors Light, I believe mixed drinks were about the same price. Also they post set times on their Facebook page which is always good info to have.

This place is a joke. Don't work here, and by work I mean take an internship because there are no actual paid employees. The internship program is a big scam to get free labor, but what you're actually doing is questionable since these "studios" haven't produced anything except for one reality show that never aired. Don't take my word for it, look them up on imdb. Nobody that's serious in LA has ever heard of them.
If you're going to work for free at least do it somewhere reputable that has connections, and never ever believe that getting a rigorous entertainment business internship means having to put up with an abusive, controlling supervisor named Zig. Apparently he just likes to take out his frustration over his shortcomings in the entertainment business on an office full of college students and recent grads. He actually had the audacity to yell at someone during an interview for not bringing a leather-bound portfolio.
I wouldn't trust any of the other reviews on here (11 filtered when I checked) because they're all fake - note that they're all first reviews. Probably made by interns that Zig forced to write them.
