The time spent over the last year has brought some serious clarity and something beautiful has come of it. We made a decision to sell our first home and take that risky journey in today's competitive market to look for the next. The second hubby and I set foot inside this property, we knew! It had checked off ALL of the boxes on our list. The stars must've aligned in that moment because everything seemed to fall into place and so quickly too. Hats off to the entire team at McLeod & Assoc. along with the continued diligence and hard work from our real estate agent Darwin (Please forgive us, we must've given you gray hairs throughout this process). Everything done in house and closed escrow within 30 days!? We couldn't have done it without you. Here we are! It's a brand new chapter in our life. We've found our forever home. All thanks to a wonderful team.

The company came through and was able to squeeze us in on a weekend. We had a slight leak on our front garden hose nozzle. Brian was able to solder off the old fitting and attach a new threaded bib. No more leak! Quick, professional, and smooth transaction.

Spa Nails never fails! Always able to accommodate my nail's needs and the staff is always nice. The salon is very local and their prices are great. I'd recommend this place to anyone needing a good mani/pedi. Hannah for pedis and Michael for any of your manicures!

Buying a car is usually the pits. Not only is there the inherent haggling over price, there is also the "as is" nature of the deal that makes any purchase a gamble, regardless of price. Despite these factors, I left impressed with the friendly atmosphere of the business and confident that I had been dealt with fairly and honestly. I believe I was told everything to be known about the history of the vehicle, good and bad. While I would have preferred receiving the car for free, I am comfortable the price I paid was appropriate. I consider the entire experience a positive.

As a tourist it's easy to get reeled into the hype of fancy bars, expensive restaurants who have famous chefs with outrageous prices.
On this particular trip when we were in town, we decided on the island's local favorite hangout spots. The bar has it's tiki atmosphere which holds so much character. This place packs with some friendly people and nearby military boys. Drinks were stiff and we left having had a great experience. -
A small price to pay for happiness.
You've probably come across this review because you're...
1) tired of your spending countless minutes each morning perfecting your brows
2) spend way too much on eyebrow/brow makeup a year
3) want to look human when swimming (vs. alien life form with no brows)
Well, I've experienced all of the above. See, I have thin brow hair and I always have. With brows like mine, just to look decent, I have to draw in (using makeup) and shade my brows. After struggling to perfect them every morning, having to use multiple q-tips for fixes and re-do's, I had realized I've had enough. I was tired of them and just wanted to get them tattooed.
I had contemplated and teetered between whether I should even get a brow tattoo. I mean, the first thing one thinks about when they hear about brow tattoos are "sharpie-like-fill-in-the-blank-lined" tattoos. (blech!) With (3DET) 3D Eyebrow Tattoo this is NOT the case. After weeks of research and Yelp reviews I chose to go with Lisa at 3DET. Sure, you pay a lot more but with the natural thin hairline tattoo strokes, it is absolutely worth it. They look so natural that many people don't realize I've had them done. I cannot emphasize enough how much happier I am to wake up every morning. Wouldn't you agree that eyebrows really define a lady's face and adds character?
At 3DET Price $395:
1) a consultation appointment
(drawn in brows as a tattoo example)
2) actual tattoo appointment
(1 hr, painless!)
3) one touch-up appointment
In the past year I've made only TWO purchases that have brought me un-regrettable happiness. My iPhone, for drafting yelp reviews (wink!), and my eyebrows.
I'm writing this review to let YOU know that there's hope. There's Linda of 3DET who is pretty much the wizard of brows. You won't regret it!

A Hollywood diner that's open 24 hours a day that serves cocktails AND cupcakes? Say whaaaaaaaa??? Count me in!
Came here on a date with hubby who had taken me on a late night cupcake & cocktails date in town. I know, I know. Swoon! While here we had ordered a couple cupcakes (daily special) red velvet cupcakes and their special for the day, peanut butter. And what better way to wash down that cupcake but to order the Hollyhood cocktail? Mmm, just the right combo.
If you're in the area, come out and give this place a try. It's swanky hipster feel will make you really feel like you're in the Hollyhood! (Haha! Total play on words folks!)

Lakewood Car Wash and Detail Center is located on the corner of South and Lakewood Boulevard. I recently noticed the different changes which looks to me as the making of new management. Given the newness of management take overs which usually has a slow pick up at first, this place has really spruced up and thrived.
Their services include: drive-in vacuum lots on the left, many offered services including waxing, full detail, regular car wash with or without tire armor all, and etc. etc. Lakewood Car Wash & Detail offers an unlimited car washes when you sign up to become a member. For a monthly fee you get unlimited car washes along with discounted services should you choose from one of the many options they offer. The regular washes are under $6 and they strive to finish within 5 mins.

Local business + Thai food + Friendly owners. What more can you ask for? A local business which provides great food is one for the books. Or more like a Yelp bookmark. Ha! Thanks Allan.

Snorkeling. Fishies. Blue Ocean. Warm sun. Sand in your toes.
How does one describe heaven? You just can't. So pardon me while I do my very best in describing, probably, what I call the best experiences I've had thus far.
You arrive Hanauma Bay and because this is preserved by the state, there is a fee. $7/person. Seniors & Child discounts offered as well. $1 ride down or up the hill otherwise, add in that extra workout and you're set.
Amenities offered: Showers, changing rooms, toilets, lockers, rentals (i.e. snorkels) and a snack bar.
This place is absolutely wonderful! At first, I did not know what to expect. There's a small video that you have to watch (few minutes or so) informing you about the history at Hanauma Bay and the do's and dont's. Hubby and I carefully placed our snorkeling gear on, waddled backwards towards deeper ocean (probably hip height) and made our way closer to the coral reefs. Here is where all the magic happens. We saw all sorts of fish swimming around us. Swimming circles around us. It's easy to get dizzy. Swimming near the ocean bottom it's easy to lose track of how far you've gone as there are no landmarks to tell you which way is east or west. Recommendation: stand up every so often. I'd make sure you're not wandering off into the ocean blue.
For $7 a person, this experience is worth it. If I was a local, I'd come here often. Even just to lay out, the area is secluded and with so much history.
