We both enjoyed the friendly service and upbeat atmosphere. The sashimi salad had the combination of fresh seafood, steamed veggies, crisp lettuce and cucumber topped with miso vinaigrette. Our lettuce cups will definitely our favorite appetizer.
We moved into a home where the front bathroom lacks any natural lighting. Today, Jovane installed a solar tube for us.... he accommodated our schedule and the light looks great. Now, there isn't the "cave" atmosphere and we love it..... I'll upload some photos soon.
We spent 2 hours dining there and loved everything about our experience. Carrie, our waitress, was very attentive and helpful. Our dinner was perfect, as were the cocktails. The 1940s decor had a special ambiance. Love the rough brick walls, the wooden booths and bar, and the large ceiling lights. The place was packed when we left so that leads us to believe we made a great choice for dinner!
We love the fresh salads and variety of soups. ...though the pasta looks dry and sticky, never tried. I consider this a buffet style restaurant and there are so many families here. This beats fast food by far. One wish I would make is a little less racket... it must be the high ceilings. I think I heard the radio once! We used my birthday discount from the online membership in the club. Join it and save $10.00!
It is not the best place if you want to relax. Too many people, the flow of the buffet is not smooth or well marked... which I don't think the customers would follow anyway. If you go there, be prepared for very rude fellow customers... they will jump the line, reach around you to grab the food they want, and the staff working are too busy to say hello. The price is low. You can take as much food as you want to eat or try. Notice their hours of business... you'll be asked to pay and leave if it's close to the end of lunch time. We ate there because we were hungry and it was close by.
