Excited about the first HK style cafe place in Daly City. Good decor, spacious and nice service when you compare to the ones in Sunset,Chinatown or Millbrae. So far we have tried the curry beef stew I think it's pretty good, Hk style baked pork overrice is average could be better but the ice HK style milk tea that my hubby ordered....was really below average. They have to either change the tea supplier or do something about it. We ordered hot milk tea on our second visit and seems like the hot milk tea is a little better than ice milk tea. Wonton is ok but the flat noodle was not cutting into thin layers,  not soft enough...so the wonton soup noodle is just a very average dish.

Overall I'm happy to see this nicely HK style cafe in Daly City, it's a very convenient location with lots of parking space outside the HomeDepot lot.  Oh btw they're having 20% off on their grand opening, I've asked the lady at the cashier how long this gonna last...she didn't give me a definate date but sort of saying will be 2 -3 weeks.

I was so disappointed & pissed after my last hair done at Revolution and yes this will be my last time to come. I've been a loyal customer with Ling for almost 8 years and I'm not complaining her hair cut cos she could bring on a stylish asian fob hair style given she never gives you any standard customer service...sigh~ I think the majority of Ling's customers kind of know she never keeps her apppointment and you just have to be prepared for a good 45 mins wait (I've waited 1.5hrs on my last appt). I know she's the only stylist you can trust at that salon but sometimes you would have at least expected a little customer services...such as pardon for the wait but hey "NO" you will "NEVER" find her treated you correclty. She will just let you feel like you're neglected and you are her low-priority list. Sometimes you can tell which group of people will be her priority list of people, I guess unfortunately for almost 8 yrs I'm not her priority group of customers. Yes while cutting your hair she always got distracted with lots of things. She does has her own style and attittude and too bad I'm getting little sick with it. So goodbye!!!

Came here for the Dine about town menu, overall we are please and happy with our 3 courses prefix. It's really a good deal for $34.95 but I do highly recommend people to order the Sashimi Morikomi as the first course rather than the Japanese seaweed salad...just so for the price becos they do give you a pretty good size portion of the sashimi =) Good jazz music and nice ambiance, drinks from the bar are good too.

I have to second Mike's latest review. My husband and I just came back and we both are surprise that they're pretty good, quite frankly we have no expectation. The ambiance is nice and staff are so friendly. We ordered the basic stuff such as dragon roll, caterpillar roll & a beef bento box with sashimi. We think the bento box is pretty good in size compare to the regular ones that we usually have. They are all good and we're happy to know they deliver for order over $30. Yay! We'll be Back!!! also would like to try their happy hour Fri & Sat 10pm - 11:30pm beer & sake half price =))

Don't waste any time, just GO GO GO! It's heaven!!! Luv the beef, the short ribs so yummie!!!! & it's all U can eat!!! At first my husband and I have zero expectation, thinking the food may not be that great since it's the all-u-can-eat style. We both are wrong! Can't wait to go there again =))

We stay at the Hyatt at Monterey the past weekend cos they offered an internet special for $159 not bad for the weekend rate. I have to say I was very disappointed couple yrs ago when I realize they're so outdated with their rooms & facilities so 80s yikes! I'm amazed to find out they just recently finished a $60M renovation and I've high expectation with the hotel.

First of all I'm happy with the web check-in service that I can do with my iphone on my way to the hotel. Once I arrived at the hotel I did my self check-in, user friendly, quick and got my key card less than 5 mins.

Overall I'm pleased with the contemporary style and the new make over of the hotel but since we're staying at the ground floor actually we can hear people walking from the second floor as well as people talking loud at the hallway. It's better off to request the third floor for future stay.

We went for a late nite drink at the hotel lobby lounge area, like the jazz band very cool but the servers were extremely slow and I think they're understaff for a Friday nite...just 2 servers for the entire lounge!!!

The next morning we went to the restauarent for a breakfast buffet, we're so pissed with the stupid hostess cos she made all of the people waiting for the tables while u r watching tons of empty seats. Her reason was they have only two servers (for a SAT?!!) and we're saying this is supposed to be a self serve buffet. She's speechless and tried to avoid interaction with all of us & made herself busy cleaning up tables. This is so rediculous!!! and stupid. We'd waited for almost 25 mins and we just have to give up coz we have a tee time at noon. We end up have to eat our breakfast at the club house, luckily not too bad.

Actually we're a little pissed when we checked in with the Del Monte GC pro shop cos they said they didn't have any record of our tee time What dah!!! I got all the Hyatt concierge confirmation and things were getting out of wack! We went back and compained to the concierge but he kind of suck! He didn't put much effort given he did give us a standard cold apology. Anyways we did manage to get a 12:30pm tee time after we said we would cancel our initial given made up tee time at 1:30pm.

Fish chowder soup with rice noodle - very good and bigger rice noodle portion than Mandalay

Curry Lamb- just ok...not as good as I thought but the curry sauce is not bad

    Ambiance - nice

Service - not very responsive even it's not full house

Good stuff - live harp performance! :)

It's a lot better than Burma Star but I think overall foodwise Mandalay is a bit better than Pagan.

If you like moo hing nga (fish chowder soup with rice noodle) this is the place. I think they are the best so far that I'd tried in bay area, so much better than Burma Star.

Tried the tea leaf salad as highly recommended by other yelpers but I think it's just ok...actually I think I prefer the Rainbow salad. We like the coconut curry chicken noodle & Balada. As for the drinks the Ginger lemonade is good choice, it has a good flavor of basil. At the end they are always generous to give you free desserts & omg @@ the mango pudding & the sweet potato desserts are HEAVEN!!! We left happy with the food & their services are very good, everyone is so cheerful :)

Luv this place, if you are expecting heavy sauce over the roll or so call creative sushi such as throwing tons of mayo and terriyaki sauce on it...this is definately not the place. It's a small unique sushi place with a simple decor and light soothing music around. It's not super packed with people, just perfect for a casual nite out. I have to say their Tofu steak appettizer is so goood and of course Tempura is a must. Last night we ordered the beef terriyaki omg so tender and juicy. and yes their dragon roll and spider roll are not super large in sizes but I think they're all well prepared. Sashimi is fresh and even the salad is very yummie too=) I like the waitress she's very polite and serve us well. We mentioned to her that the sukiyaki was a little bit too salty when we're almost done and she made that up by giving us a free mochi green tea ice cream. Overall we love this place, price is reasonable too but sometimes it's a bit tough to find a parking space around the area.
