Dad and I had a very fine dining experience at Zoom's bar this evening. He enjoyed his burger which came with a family size helping of fries and I had the vegan blackened tempeh which I found delicious. Would be happy to eat here again this trip!
Really nice atmosphere with jazz playing the entire dinner.
Excellent vegan ramen with bamboo shoots and mushrooms in a miso base.
The waiter was VERY attentive.
Apparently they have Toby's Estate coffee during the day with plenty of outlets. Seems like a nice place to work in the Williamsburg/Greenpoint area.
Rather expensive ($2.50 for a brewed and up to $6 for an almond milk latte or matcha latte) but this is the best coffee shop in town, hands down.
From the decor to the music to the friendly/helpful staff, to the delicious treats (try the glorious morning, its vegan ;) ), everything at Victoria's is of high quality.
We have frequented it everyone morning for coffee and sometimes breakfast. Yesterday, I worked from the shop for about an hour with free wifi (up to one hour).
There are constantly dogs tied up outside ready to be petted. Whats not to like?!
Very good spot for takeout.
This is my favorite park in NYC! They have movies, music, and events here on the weekends in addition to being the most incredible oasis in the best neighborhood in downtown Manhattan.
Help save the park! The mayor wants to turn this into a building!
Apparently Cate de Mi Corazon is no longer! Lucky for us and vegan eaters in Mexico City, a great new spot with the same charm has occupied the same space with an entirely vegan, plant-based menu.
Mi novia and I feasted on several dishes, all of them delicious. My favorite was the nachos though. Whatever they use in that vegan cheese is magic.
Ran about $25 (USD) for the two of us and we ordered way too much.
The reason I didn't give this spot a 5 star is it has an unfortunate location at a busy intersection. Regardless, loved the atmosphere, staff, and friendly hipsters with their frenchies chow ing down on yummy vegan fair!
Everything is great at MasalaWala except for that no good MasalaWala himself (big wink ;) )!
Really enjoyed my experience at MW last week from the atmosphere, which is much classier than most indian restaurants, to the service (the man myth and legend himself spent a lot of time joking at our table), to the high quality dishes we had the pleasure of consuming.
Will certainly be back!
High level, 350 Main is not worth the price of admission. With $30+ entrees a restaurant should be really top notch. This restaurant is not. And for some reason the place was packed! Crazy.
The good: great atmosphere and the service was quite friendly. They have a solid wine menu and several gluten free options.
The bad: the food was just not good. The chicken was dry and boring tasting, the salmon was mediocre at best (oh and they undercooked all three of our salmon the first time around). They charged us for four salmon instead of three too.
We had one round of drinks and no starters. About $70 a person. Hurts me to write that.
Currently enjoying their herbal tea on a rainy day standing up at their high top table working on my computer with a good friend and his little pup. Life is pretty good right now. Seemingly friendly staff. Cannot speak to the food at all but the atmosphere and tea is thumbs up!
Have to give this place five stars now as I am still dating that Norwegian girl mentioned above that I met outside.
