Elsie's Egg Rolls is great! It's a quaint little restaurant in Hutto. It's located beside a few other businesses but it could be easy to miss if you aren't looking for it - luckily it's located off of a heavily trafficked road. There is ample parking out front so you shouldn't have a problem with that. Inside, you'll find around 10 or so tables.

The menu isn't extensive but there are plenty of great options! The lumpia (egg rolls) is amazing as you'd expect from the name of the restaurant :) The food portions are quite large especially for the price. You can easily get a meal for under $10.

The restaurant also sells some Filipino pastries that you can enjoy.

The service was also excellent. You order at the counter and seat yourself and the person who brought us out our food stopped by a few times to check on us and make sure we were doing alright.

I am a huge fan and I definitely see myself coming back!

I am a huge fan of mochi donuts so I was excited to find that Austin opened a Mochinut! The location is inside of Hana world so there is ample parking out front. Mochi donuts are soft and squishy and are always accompanied by unique and delicious flavors! The way that they are shaped also make it super easy to split them up if you're looking to share. Mochinut rotates their flavors weekly so keep that in mind if you are going there looking for a specific flavor. You can visit their Instagram account @mochinut_atx where they post weekly flavors. The donuts are sold in a 3, 6, or 12 pack. They also have boba drinks you can order.

There are still soooo many flavors I would love to try so you know I will definitely be back (more than once)!

This is our go-to pho spot. It's located in a busy shopping area with ample parking so it's easy to get to and in a very convenient location. We love to eat here before seeing a movie right down the road!

I always order the pho. I haven't really branched out yet because every time I dine at broth and basil I end up really wanting pho! There are a bunch of side items you can order that are great. If you want some veggies with your meal you can order some steamed broccoli, carrots, and bok choy. The side beef rib is also a great choice - it has a higher price point but it is a giant rib with meat that you get. The menu is a lot smaller than your typical Vietnamese restaurant. Broth and basil is also a lot more modern so the vibe is different than your typical hole in the wall but the food is still delicious!

You know we'll be back here when we want some pho.

I've had Jjim bookmarked for a while now so I was excited when we decided to check it out over the weekend. I was with a party of 6. Parking is super easy since there are a few free garages right around the restaurant. Jjim is set up where you order when you first walk in and let them know the table number you're sitting at. It's nice that you just go up when you're ready to order but it makes things a little tough when you have a large party since not everyone wants to go stand at the counter.

Our party ordered a variety of items - galbi Jjim (of course) with noodles and rice cake, chicken Jjim with all the add ons, kimchi pancake, seafood pancake, kimchi fried rice, and 3 orders of kimchi. The pancakes are super flakey and extra crispy which is different from the flat item you'd traditionally see but they were both good! The galbi Jjim had great flavor and the meat just slid right off the bone. The chicken comes with whole chicken so expect bones. We got mild for the chicken and spicy for the galbi and I really liked the spicy flavor.

Most Korean restaurants (at least more traditional ones) usually give you a wide variety of banchan (side items) for free. Jjim charges you even for kimchi and it's $3 a pop. I definitely think Jjim is in the more expensive side for what you get. The small Jjim is marketed for 1 person and medium is listed for 2 people but if you get some other items or generally eat smaller portions I think it can easily feed 2 and 3 people respectively.

Great option if you're looking to eat some jjim! It is a little on the pricier side though in terms of Korean food so that's one thing to keep that in mind if you plan to dine here.

There are surprisingly a lot of pho places in the area but we finally got a chance to check out Pho Dan over the weekend! It's located next to a bunch of businesses so there is ample parking. The space is fairly large inside too so there are a lot of tables.

My husband and I both ended up ordering some pho. One nice thing is you have the option to select between 3 different bowl sizes - small, large, x-large. I got the small which is usually what I go with. The flavor was great. There wasn't as much protein as what I'm used to seeing and the portions were a bit small for the price. We ordered the chicken spring rolls as an app as well and still left a little hungry. We also ordered a strawberry smoothie for a drink. We went with a smoothie mainly because neither of us could stand the ice water. The flavor of it was really off.

There are a lot of pho options and plenty of ways to customize your pho by adding on additional items as a side if you prefer a more customized experience!
