If I could give no stars I would. Where to start. Even though we were on time for the appt., two people who arrived after us were showed into rooms immediately while we had to wait. They seemed to know the people at the counter, so it seems regulars get priority -- even though this meant my cat had to wait in the open, noisy waiting room with two dogs (both boxers, different owners) close by, one who kept trying to get at my cat while the people at the desk did nothing. A small, cheapo radio on a side table is the 'music' --- set to a station with scratchy reception, and playing LOUDLY into the room. I turned it off. Meanwhile, back to those two people ahead of me. The animals were taken back to the 'work area' while the people were seated in those private rooms. People generally don't mind sitting in a waiting area. A cat on the other hand would have appreciated one of those private rooms. Ridiculous arrangement since I soon learned nothing happens in the private rooms other than people waiting. All the vet care happens 'out back'. The rooms don't even have exam tables. Once we were finally led into a private room, there were two chairs with arms and a round swivel chair. Neither was large enough for my cat's carrier so I had to put it on the FILTHY floor. Then we waited another half hour for the vet to come in. In their defense, apparently there was a pet emergency. But I'm not so sure about that since the previous two pets (both dogs) had walked to the back and our room was right by the door (with large window) and I didn't see anyone else come in. At any rate, then, as you would guess, my cat was taken out back for an ear swab. I have never been to a vet where the ear swab didn't happen right in the room with you, on an exam table. I have no idea what was done to my cat, but it took almost a half hour. Then the vet came in and told me the ears need to be cleaned. Another twenty minutes went by. So cleaning ears and doing a swab took close to an hour. I finally got up to ask at the desk how much longer given at this point the total time (including original wait..) was approaching two hours and they told me they were still running the test on the swabs. Why not bring the cat back out? Does the cat really need to be back there while you look under a microscope? You have no idea if your cat is in a cage, in a 'cat bag', being restrained, or what. Is it parked next to a dog? Highly likely given these were the only other customers while we were there. Next up, the tech comes in with and iPad to review hundreds of dollars in fees and options from x-rays to who knows what. It is a cash cow folks. I declined everything except the swab and ear cleaning which the vet and I had discussed but I would estimate there were about ten other things in the list we had not even talked about. After I signed the ipad for these items I finally got my cat back and was able to leave. So we arrive home and my cat is unable to hop up on a chair, unable to climb the stairs to the window to look at the birds, and two hours later, unable to hop up on my bed where he usually sleeps next to my head at night. This morning, he can barely put his weight on his left hind leg. I am assuming they restrained him while doing the ear cleaning or held him down for the swab or who knows what, but literally my cat is now recovering from what was clearly a very painful interaction. I am beyond LIVID. I have NEVER had an experience this bad from a vet visit in all my life. My cat has had dental cleanings over the years, with sadly virtually every tooth removed (due to resorptive lesions). He has NEVER come home from these extensive surgeries with ANY issues. How is it possible to go in for a simple ear swab and be left with a cat who is crippled this morning? It is just BEYOND all reason. Do NOT, EVER bring your cat here. Oh and lastly - NONE of the staff wears a mask, including one in particularly who was coughing and sneezing so much while talking with me that he had to leave the room. Meanwhile, part of the reason I chose this place is the yelp listing says 'masks required' and 'all staff wear masks' --- completely the opposite and RIDICULOUS for a 'healthcare' facility of all places not to follow medical/science known best-practices for protecting others from Covid.

I was looking up the tel. number for Women's Health Associates at MGH and just happened to come across the terrible reviews below! I'm honestly shocked by some of the reviews. I've been going to this medical office for almost ten years and have had virtually all good experiences. Maybe a longer wait once in a while, but I think this is typical of medical offices where 'a patient who needs more care' can slow things down in between and that's not the doctor's fault. (Sometimes it's probably me that needs more time from a doctor and sometimes it's probably you!! Going to the doctor is not like going to the hair dresser where they pretty much know how long each person will take. ) I've had two different general care practitioners at this offie (only switched when the first one retired) and both have been wonderful. The nurses here are so friendly and always go above and beyond to set you at ease if you need a vaccine/shot, etc. I feel lucky to have found this medical group and highly recommend it.

I'm really surprised by some of the negative posts about this hospital. When I saw it only had around three stars on average, I was nervous to go there but I needed an ambulance and it was the closest place to go. From the minute I arrived, everyone I had contact with was kind and helpful and everyone seemed very professional. I was taken to a room almost immediately. It had a divider so there could be a second person in that room, but when I arrived it was only me. I was given care immediately, and multiple nurses and specialists came through my room in rapid succession. I needed multiple tests - blood tests (I think these were done by Nick who did his best to make it painless), X-ray, CT scan, I was rolled from one room to the next and back to my room, given IV fluids, etc. My doctor (Dr. Fletcher) came in quickly after the tests were all complete. He too was kind and professional, answered all my questions, and made recommendations for follow-on care. From the my initial interaction with registration straight thru to my check-out, every individual behaved professionally and with kindness. Honestly a much better experience than the last time I wound up in emergency back in Boston (where everyone claims we have the best hospitals!) That time, I was parked in front of the nurses station, in a hallway, for my entire day-long stay. Apparently they were out of rooms and I had to listen to the nurses at that station gossip about other nurses(!) and talk about patients (which they should not have been doing when I was right there to hear what was being said.). So all in, my experience at Bethesda East was ten times better than that. Thanks Bethesda for taking such good care of me! :)

I've had a really different experience at 500 Ocean from the people below, so wanted to add my two cents... I've lived here for close to a year and honestly love it!

Re: PARKING - This is the first time I've had parking on the same floor as my unit (fourth floor). Whether you live here or somewhere else, this is a life-changer(!) To just unload groceries etc. and be able to dash out to your car in seconds is amazing.

Re: NOISE LEVEL - It may be I've just been lucky with my neighbors, but honestly I never hear anyone making noise. Not from the fifth floor above me, or on the sides or below. And I work from home, so that would really be a problem for me. Personally, I've found this place to be very quiet.

Re: NEIGHBORS - So far, I haven't yet met any neighbors I didn't like(!) They all seem really nice and there is a good mix of younger and older (retired) people living here. I met a retired woman just the other day in the mailroom and she told me it "really is heaven to be living here". She uses the pool every day and told me she has lost a lot of weight(!) :)

Re: POOL - I haven't made much use of the pool, but I walk by the pool and gym almost every day on my way to the mailbox room and both are usually empty, so I have not experienced the issues mentioned below (I don't want to discount that complaint...would bother me too. Just have not witnessed this myself.) This said, I've found the management here to be really friendly and responsive.

Re: SECURITY - Also, someone (below) mentioned there is no security here...it may have been the case when that review was written, but now they always have a police presence. There is almost always a patrol car in the garage and they have on-site security at night so if you ever lock yourself out, someone is here to help. The garage is 'gated' and only opens for cars with transponders and all the outside doors (as well as doorways between buildings) require a key fob. I have felt very safe here.

Re: BALCONY - One of the BEST bonuses about my apartment is having a balcony. For me, having my own, private outdoor space has been just amazing. I love having plants out there...I'm growing a pineapple plant(!), basil, and tomatoes...and the patio is large enough for table and chairs. I also love that I can just slide open the door and sit in the sun without having to march down to the pool. Haha, call me lazy(!) but sometimes I just want my ten minutes of sunshine and it would be a pain to go downstairs for just some quick fresh air like that.

Re: LOCATION - The location here just can't be beat - 5 minutes to Publix on Fed. Highway 1. There's also UPS right across the street from Publix which has been super-convenient. Just a little further down Fed. 1 is a Walmart (buy your avocados here people - only 88 cents!). If you don't mind more of a drive, there's a Whole Foods at Wellington Green Commons, roughly 15-20 min. drive. And if you travel like me, you'll be psyched to know it's only about 15 minutes to PBI/airport.

Re: COFFEE - We need a Starbuck's, but there is a cute coffee shop right around the corner on Ocean Ave..... and a Panera Bread at the Publix shopping center/5 min. drive.

Re: RESTAURANTS - 'Hurricane Alley' is right outside your door!.....and 'Two Georges' and 'Banana Boat' - both on the water - are within walking distance (or less than 5 min. drive) - fantastic! Prime Catch - also waterfront - is just a bit farther down Fed 1. All wonderful!

Re: STORES - I also love that there is a Joann Fabric store close-by and absolutely fantastic Mango Johnny's flower shop (this place looks like a hole-in-the-wall from the street, but you'll be blown away by the incredible orchid collection and the BEST flower pot selection you'll find. You can literally spend an afternoon here exploring the amazing variety of plants and flower pots. Just incredible and if you buy a plant and a pot separately, they'll pot your plant for you! So nice!

Re: INTERNET - I have very good internet reception here and as someone who works from home, it would really be impossible for me if I didn't have good internet. That said, I'm annoyed we can't get Comcast here. In my last apartment you could get whatever internet service you wanted. This really is something that should change. This building really is 'cutting edge' for the area - beautiful modern amenities, amazing landscaping, indoor bowling, swimming pool, Zen garden, movie room, business center, it's a 'green' buidling, etc. etc. etc. it really just has everything........so having limited internet options (i.e. only AT&T) feels totally backwards!! Just does not make sense(!) That's why I'm only giving four stars(!) but otherwise would have been a five ;) Really could not be happier here.

Wow! So, I've been using Robert McGill for years. They serviced my old machine and I bought a new system from them ten years ago that's still going strong...uh, well, except for today when I was cleaning the house with the windows wide open...and I guess the warm air kind of taxed the a.c. a bit -- and water started dripping out the bottom (it's a central a.c. unit). Called up Robert McGill and let them know I was kind of having a panic attack as am about to head out of town and just didn't want to leave the a.c. like that if it was a real problem...honestly did not expect them to come right away.. figured I'd have to leave keys, etc. But you guessed it. They were on the way within minutes!!! Did a super-thorough job cleaning the whole system. They are always so polite, explain exactly what they're doing, and they really seem to care about 'doing things right'. Definitely recommend!
