What a horrific experience! We were required to open acct for a mortgage; both savings & checking. MACU dropped the ball on mortgage because an employee quit & we ended up w/rude intrusive employees afater that. Because we asked a question about issuing another check, they stated they had to make sure we weren't embezzling monies. They kept the check for a month which was from Chase in town- so why didn't they say that in the beginning? Our credit scores well over 750-not to mention documentation of 27 years of good credit. I had to call transamerica etc. to remove my life story on credit reports because Mountain America questioned everything?? Really? Who does that? MACU absolutely goes overboard! On top of that dealing w/rude tellers & the absolutely arrogant bank manager who said "What do you want me to do about it" when I asked why I was having trouble banking there? He was just in my face trying to press my buttons - admitting he knew I was upset when I asked him. Great way to treat a senior! If you like being treated with prejudice, you're a female, you're from California, or you're not the right religion or ethnicity-then bank here! The Lesson- stick with the bank you know-not who a realtor wants you to bank with! Do your homework in Idaho before you commit.
