The seamstress at this business has no sense of professional conduct. The business was recommended by a friend, so I called on a Monday afternoon to inquire if she could do a suit alteration for two suits I had just bough by the end of the week. She asked what I needed done, so I told her pant legs, sleeves let out, and potentially the coat taken in. She told me to come in so she could judge this. I did so, and after her having me try on the two suits and pinning them, I asked her for an estimate. She priced it, and told me it would be Friday at 2 PM. I told her that might not work for me, I had to go out of town and had to check with my ride when I was leaving. Unfortunately, I could not reach my friend. She said she could maybe have it Friday morning or Thursday evening, and wanted me to leave my suits. I told her I could not do that w/o knowing when my friend was leaving, but I would come back in the morning. She then told me I had to pay her $15 for her time for the fitting. I said this was not right, she did not make that clear when I came in, and that other tailors did the fitting for free. She insisted it was store policy, although it was not posted anywhere. She then proceeded to take my money and unpinned all the pins (as if I was going to do the alteration myself). So essentially she undid all the "work" I was supposed to be paying her for. I would not go back again, shady acting all around. I contrast this with Lee's Tailoring, who happily gave me a reasonable estimate and did the pinning, and did not complain when I told them I neded to come back. In my opinion, this conduct shows that Cati's is simply more concerned with charging as much as they can for minimal work, rather than doing quality work and customer service. You're better off going to Lee's or somewhere else.

While this place is aesthetically pleasing, the customer service is terrible.

I was incorrectly charged for months that I was not a member due to the high school age employee at the front not handling my cancellation clearly (I should have known, given her confusion at me asking what I needed to do/sign). When I noticed I was charged, I went back, and was given the number for the corporate office. The corporate office said the local management needed to verify what had happened since there was no paper trail. The local management assured me they had taken care of it, but when I followed up with corporate, they said they were waiting to hear from local. The run around lasted for two months, at which point the original managers no longer worked at the local office, and corporate said they wouldn't refund THEIR ERROR since there was no paperwork.

I have rarely seen such bad customer service through all levels of the organization. The corporate office is completely unresponsive, and the local management is disorganized and doesn't seem to care all that much.
