Friendly staff and really good homemade food. Located in a quiet residential area. Plaza has plenty of parking. Accommodated our group of 9 easily.
Our project was to build an ADU in place of our detached garage. Not having done anything like this before there were a lot of things I didn't know or needed to think of. We had plans but what do I know. They were approved. Piotr and Jesus and all the team were a pleasure to work with. They helped us navigate the work and provide vital information based on experience on how to get what we wanted within the guidelines of the city. Plans are just plans until something has to be built so be flexible. Piotr and team are really flexible and reasonable.
We had the Norwegian (yummy) and the Greenlandic (not as yummy) but my son had the animal pancake. We weren't sure what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. The Norwegian was creamy with salmon. Making my mouth water thinking about it. I'd eat 2 of them if I could right now. The Greenlandic, on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. If this was. Representation of Greenlandic food...I'm good. The animal pancake was the wildcard in all of this. What did this mean exactly? Anyway, when it came out, it had a teddy bear on it. Strange but fun. There were also random candies on the pancake...also strange but fun.
We decided on this place because we were hungry and walking by. It is located downstairs and is a little cramped but that's like everywhere in Amsterdam. The washrooms are up a really steep set of stairs so just be careful. Worth checking out in general.
This is the first time I definitely know I was eating Basque food. The house foie gras was awesome. The Camembert Roti was really creamy and hot the spot. I had the magret de canard, but I wish it was seasoned with a bit of salt. All in all, it was a really good experience. Definitely go here if you're in the area.
This place is amazing. I did t have very much time and I had no idea what I wanted. My only requirements, it had to be something I could not get at home and be able to fly for 11 hours. The staff was very helpful in explaining what each cheeses was and where it was from and what to pair with, etc. Seemed like you could try anything that was already cut. I bought 4 cheeses in all. Each was labeled and marked with the characteristics so that I would remember when opening them up. Also, they vacuum sealed them for travel. English is okay here so don't be intimidated!
