I find the instructors to be knowledgeable, well trained, and effective. The community is super supportive and has lots of WORKING actors. I've heard repeatedly that agents and CD's like working with actors from this school.

Thank you for your review A K! We're grateful that you're a part of our acting community!
There's a reason Sumac has so many 5 star reviews! We visit SF often, and as vegans, we tend to go to salad places. Wanted something different and tried Sumac. This is our new favorite place! Alish was so nice, described the food to us, and how he uses fresh organic veggies every day (if he doesn't use them all, they get donated). Everything had amazing flavor, tasted fresh and we loved it. Tried the red lentil wrap, hummus, baba ganoush (not normally one of our favs, but this was super fresh and tasty) and we tried the muhammara (not on the menu) per Alish's recommendation. It was tremendous! Roasted red pepper, walnut, tahini spread...get it, if it's available...you'll be glad you did. And order extra pita. Great meal! Thank you, Alish!
This is my second review of Ruben. He is amazing! I had several appliances go out this year (SubZero freezer, Miele dishwasher, SubZero refrigerator drawer) as well as had a refrigerator door issue and oven door issue.
I've already reviewed the SubZeros but I really want to describe my dishwasher journey. I've had at least 4 maintenance people out to look at my dishwasher over the last 6 years. It never seemed to work right but I couldn't put my finger on what it was. Each person said it was nothing and left.
Recently, water was on the floor under the machine and I was able to get Ruben through my insurance. I fought to get him! He initially thought it was one issue because that's how it presented. I can't remember what the solution was, but he did it, and then another symptom showed up. It was at that moment, once the first symptom had resolved, he realized it needed a new pump.
The insurance ultimately chose to replace the unit and we received a brand new version of the same dishwasher. Oh. My. Gosh. I didn't know dishes could get so clean! My suspicion something was wrong with the old one was spot on, but it took Ruben to figure out what all the other guys couldn't. I'm so grateful to finally have a working dishwasher.
If you're not working with an insurance company, use Ruben. He'll save you money in the long run by doing it right the first time.
Thank you, Ruben! You're the best!
Raoul came to my home through our home warranty company to repair my SubZero freezer. I was a bit skeptical, as every time I get a referral, a different company comes out and often they don't work on SubZeros. Raoul assured me he specializes in them and he was right!
I also asked him about a door that hasn't closed well on my oven for years, and he knew immediately what the issue was. I've had appliance repairmen try to fix the door before and they didn't. Raoul came out after ordering the correct part and fixed it perfectly! He also showed me why my SubZero fridge wasn't sealing well - the strip around the door was ripped.
Raoul was very competent, knowledgeable and he was kind and prompt. Personally, I found him to be one of the best appliance repair people I've worked with. I'll request him every time!
Larry is one of the most rude, deceptive, pushy sales persons I've ever met. He uses negative scare tactics to try to shame you into a sale. We called him to rent an RV because the fires in Sonoma County displaced us from our home. He offered us a 28-foot with slide outs for $219(!) a night telling us he hadn't raised his rates because of the fires, and that it was the last one he had, was in great condition, and that he'd rented all the others to organizations trying to fight the fires (what a guy).
When we saw the unit, we were horrified. It was dirty, looked worse inside than our 20 year old Volvo (the kids' car), yet he told us it was 5 years old and had 50,000 miles. He then told my husband and I that we wouldn't find anything else even close to that anywhere and that he could rent it in one minute to someone else. He said that his competitors in El Sobrante put out their worst units now because it's the off season, that the renters are the ones who clean the units, and that we would be very disappointed. His tone was condescending and intimidating. Fortunately, his tactics didn't work on me! Turns out that the competitor rented us a 25-foot, in much better, clean condition (yes, the renter cleans it but the company cleans it again afterwards), for $80 a night! The competitive unit is no more than 2 years old and their customer service was impeccable. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!
PS. Based on his other reviews, maybe greed over being able to take advantage of the fire evacuees has overcome him. So sad.
Dr. Kylstra claims she wants to work with her patients as a team, but that was not at all my experience. I am very involved in my own healthcare and had some specific tests I wanted done and she refused. She didn't think they were necessary. But I'd recently received a diagnosis that I felt did warrant those tests in order to get to the root cause. She didn't ask me any questions or express concern. She struck me as someone not willing to look at the bigger picture. Find another doc.
