The door lady is not only very loud for no reason lol. And very rude. I had never been there and wouldn't normally even go into a place like this, but considering it was the only place open today (Christmas) I had no choice.

I asked for the pricing to dine in, because I realized only after getting inside it's a "buffet". She rudely sighed and went back to writing in tickets. Mind you, no line, no one fighting to get inside lol. I just walked out. I'll starve before giving them my money.

Today I had the strongest urge to go find some milk tea/boba tea.. and dang it, I do! After scrolling through Yelp for what felt like 45 mins (it was a good 34 mins before deciding) I decided to go with a place I've been before. But it was actually parked at a different location this time. (Off 82nd across from Eastport plaza).

Went on Mother's Day, not 100% sure this is why the cart area was packed but I'm sure it had something to do with it. I ran to front of the cart and read the menu and re-read the menu to try to make a decision I felt content about. I went for the iced coconut + coffee milk tea with honey boba. AND I decided since it was Mother's Day and I am a mother, I deserved the mason jar cup thing with the fancy metal straw. The total was $11 even. I believe the cup and straw combo was $5.50 (also same price as the drink).

The drink came in a surprisingly bigger cup than I had expected. For some reason I thought the cup was going to be smaller, it looks like a 20-22 oz cup, equipped with a silver lid and fat metal straw. Now the drink, I'm not sure if it was my choice of coffee and coconut.... Idk. Now that I'm thinking about it, not a great combo. But not terrible either!! It wasn't the combo I don't think, I think it was the fact that my iced drink was warm. :/ Luke warm. Similar to putting ice in sweet tea, it never really gets cold. It tasted like warm milk, that had been sitting out 3 mins too long. I was let down because it was hot, I was sweating from running through the crowd of millions of also hungry and thirsty people - to take that initial sip and get warm milk.

They were quick and kind. But I'm still sad about only getting about 5 ice cubes in 20oz of coffee.

This is a cool place. They have carts on the outside of a few different kinds of foods. And then inside they have a full bar. The dining area is nice and modern, inviting. Definitely a place I'd try again once the climate of the world changes!

This is supposedly the place to be for pho and late night munching. Their hours are 8am - 3am during the week and 8-5am during the weekends. Which.. may seem like a really good thing. However, having worked in a pho restaurant and knowing the process it takes to cook food broth. It's just not realistic... the broth was less than appetizing. The meats were still chewy rather than tender and juicy. I was highly disappointed because I had trusted my trusty cousin local guide to steer me in the right direction. Customer service was non existent. We received all of our food before having received and tools to eat with. And we even had to ask for it because they just completely forgot all together..

Pho combo - large. Much needed after a long Halloween night

If you want some cold and kinda refreshing, I'd say try a drink here. But I would personally come back and spend my own money on the drinks. Now I'm only saying this because I've had so many GOOD teas in Portland and the one drink I had just didn't come near to what I've had in Portland. The drink I ordered was the Lychee Long Time - i couldn't really focus on the flavor because the flower petals were throwing me off. Not something I'd spend my own money on again. I hear their pastries are really good, but I didn't end up ordering any. Maybe next time!

First time here! Let's see what all the hype is about.
