I've paid for enough sides of Marinara sauce to fill a self of jars. It never makes it to my house.

I'm on hold for 15 minutes now. Having been hung up on four times, wanting to call about an order that is now over 30 minutes late. This is not the first time, either. In mid 2018, this Dominos became fantastic. Then all of a sudden it's suffered ever since.

It's pizza. How could you get it this wrong.

I have been to Del Pez more than 6 times in the past year. My first experience was subpar, and I wrote them about it to tell the managers to get it together if you expect to be a part of the booming scene in Wilmington.

They definitely did not listen. Last week my colleagues and I went to Del Pez for a work lunch, and we spent nearly 2.5 hours there. Our food was incorrect, delivered at different times, items missing, and incorrect drinks. It was beyond ridiculous. The only thing that didn't go wrong was having food or drink spilled on one of us.

While the new manager apologized and was told our lunch was comped. We expected to pay for our drinks, but the bill still include various food items like a side dish and an appetizer. They seriously nickel and dime their comp for a horrible service. They didn't take the food off the bill but instead gave a colleague of mine a gift card (as if she would come back?).

Nearly each time I have been to Del Pez, there has been a negative experience. A lot of the staff are awkward in public, they don't know the customer service aspect of being servers. It's all just weird at Del Pez.

Authentic Mexican Restaurants have some of the best service and food. Del Pez has neither, and is definitely not authentic, just white washed.

      Avoid.

I've never had a bad experience at E&S. As someone who lives down the street, I'm here often. Between drink specials, happy hours, or even on regular menu items, food and drink is delicious. Historically, E&S would be considered below Chelsea Tavern, its sister restaurant across the street. But these days, E&S is catching up and in some cases, surpasses its sibling. Their food choices are good and getting better, as they try unique combinations of flavors and pair them well with your tried-and-true American dishes.

The folks are great too. Maisie, Jill, Beau, and many others who great and add to our fun.

Oh, and the food? Try the crab cakes! The best dish on the menu. Their guacamole is fantastic too. The California chicken club wrap is also a fan favorite.

As a local, I'd have to tell you to put E&S on your short list and definitely need to try.

They NEVER bring the food up to my apartment door. They don't even park on the street! They expect you to meet them outside. Their margarita pizza is literally just a cheese pizza with slices of tomatoes under the cheese. They also bring cold food time after time. Their tomato pie is great, when it arrives hot.

I ordered a beer and the bartender brought me a can. He opened it. It was the wrong beer. When I mentioned it was the wrong one, he casually checked and told me they didn't have it. Kinda felt like he knew but didn't care. Also, all of the front of house staff kind of don't care about much. Lots of waiting for service. Food was decent. Draft beer list is bad but their bottle / cans were okay. I haven't been here in years and I will probably never come back.
