With such a cult following , this was a gigantic disappointment.
Our waiter rushes you to order but then disappears, like magic. Poof. The food takes long to come, pizza arrived warm and sloppily cut.....another few minutes longer in the oven and it mightve been a game changer.
Our main reason to come was for the infamous burger. It took 45 minutes for our waiter to magically reappear. Voila! 55 minutes later, our burger arrived. Verdict: 3/10, standard patty, the big cold pretzel bun overpowered the burger. It came with decent waffle fries.
Also, request a table away from the door. Otherwise you'll be sharing your table with those waiting...
Oh my, it's 4pm no line but these bad boys are still coming out hot.
These croissants are fluffy, crispy, buttery excellence
Hot Chicken was slamming, juicy & charred. Hot sauce was spicy and tangy. Corn, Rice and mac and cheese as a side were ace, wished there were more greens to choose from.
This place is amazing, from
the owners to the staff to the service to the food. Absolutes: XLB, fried dumplings, beef and hot peppers, scallion fried rice. Divine!
We absolutely love this place. Our go to date-night and/or celebratory spot for the last three years and for many years more.
Such a homey-friendly family oriented steakhouse-, far away from the pretentious Lugers and less snobbery than the steakhouses we also do love in Manhattan.
The bacon- OMG. I think about their bacon a lot. It is so charred perfectly, smokey, sweet, delicious.
The crabcakes- I stopped thinking about Maryland crab cakes since having them here.
Their buttery steaks- No Lie, you don't need a knife. Lightly simply seasoned enough for flavor. Perfectly medium rare every time.
Side dishes- CORN CORN CORN. Must get,
Cream Spinach/Mash. Must.
We get a bottle of the Valpolicella everytime
and force ourselves to order dessert.
They have a Creme Brulee cheese cake, bro.................yes.
Along with a cup of coffee
and the loveliness of our waiter, Dave and hostess Joy,
we always leave overstuffed and overjoyed.
