After losing my last terrific CPA who returned to teaching; I looked for a local one to handle my relatively simple account. I have a small business filed with my personal income tax but after being audited several years back I prefer to have a professional do the work for me; the IRS likes this better too.

After having them apply my State and Federal taxes I had the following problems
      1. the state taxes were corrected by the state, finding I was approx $30 short of payments and,
      2. my accountant supposedly put me on a payment plan but three months after submitting my first payment and subsequent ones according to the purported payment plan, the IRS contacted me with a $240 penalty due to not having paid my taxes in full.
When I contacted my accountant too often my emails went unanswered. Nonetheless, I emailed to be sure I had a record of communication. 80% of the time I had to call to get a response. When I did, she had no response to the TN tax discrepancy and told me it would be my responsibility to follow up with the IRS as to why her paperwork on the installment plan wasn't in place with them. I am writing this as I wait on hold with the IRS for an estimated 30 to 60 min. I ask you, wt heck did I hire them for if I had to do all this???? I had to cancel a client this afternoon to deal with this.

One last bit to consider before hiring:
We agreed on a precise fee which increased by three additional fees of $165 after all was filed. I heard about the fee when they mailed me an IOU. So I emailed to find out what these three new additional charges were for - not clear on the invoice. NO answer to any of the emails as per usual; finally after calling I got the additional unexpected (not agreed upon) fees cut down to one. I do appreciate them doing this. I also expect I could end up getting a whole new fee schedule in a few months. That's the pattern of my experience with them thus far. Needless to say, I am currently looking for a new CPA firm.

Coffee is very good as are the baked goods. The atmosphere is good for working. Wifi is intermittent and you can bet the attitude behind the counter will be supercilious. The culture of superiority is nauseatingly normal.

The baked goods are very good, coffee is good to very good (depending on whose behind the machine), the service is a fail. Unless the owner is there or the young man whose typically around after 3, expect to be served by two sullen and/or supercilious pseudo-divas behind the counter. They are a testament to their generation and a good reason not to make a great coffeehouse a habit.

Didn't try food here (only eaten at Tempe location) but the service at the door was so bad. I stood there in an empty restaurant while the too cool to be bothered chatted among themselves instead of doing their job. When the hostess/server finally approached she demonstrated her lack of clairvoyance by asking me if I was there to pick up an order. Apparently someone eating alone must be getting take out. After informing her I was there to eat food at a table she took me to a table with an attitude. Seriously people, grow up! You'r not impressive to anyone but yourselves and that's a very very tiny universe you live in.

Make sure you have information about the apartment plan you want before you move in. I selected a larger apartment plan and on the day of moving in I was faced with a pod from 1000s of miles away and an apartment smaller than I wanted. It became a he-said-she-said and I am still in the smaller apartment. People are very nice and apologies abounded but they lost money and I am unhappy. That's not a professional solution.
