      "WHAT [A] VIEW!"...?
Dockside seating sounds like it would be nice, except it means that boat hulls are staring you in the face the whole time. Not much water to look at.

      "GET YA BEER H--oh wait"
The roast beef sandwich also sounded nice for the land-lover of the group, but they were SOLD OUT at 3pm on a Sunday. Also SOLD OUT of the beer he wanted.

At least you can't screw up lobster...
Turns out you can....We went specifically for the lobster roll (paired with the outdoor dining), but the MP (i.e. $30) item was very disappointing on all fronts.

The server was very nice, though, so she's earned the extra star I gave. Maybe she can turn it into a NFT and wear it on her attire as one of her 37 pieces of flair. Is that how those work? Never quite got a handle on it.

Also, can you identify the movie reference in that last paragraph?

      ENVIRONMENT & STAFF:
I visited 12:30p on a Saturday. 2 or 3 other customers were there during my visit. Seemed like a mom & pop shop with staff, and management, and ownership being one in the same. They were adequately friendly. I wasn't really paying close attention, but the place was clean and neat.

      FOOD:
There were a lot of options for those with dietary restrictions, including gluten-free and dairy-free.

      1) Grab & Go slice of GF/DF banana cake: 4.5/5
-I couldn't tell it was made with non-conventional ingredients.
      2) "Small" order of GF/DF butternut squash soup: 5/5
      -Blended so it was smooth
      -delicious
      -approximately 1 pint
      3) Grab & Go spinach quiche slice: 4.5/5
      -LOTS of spinach

[this review is about the "Magic Bag" from the Too Good To Go app]

      Quick and smooth pick-up.

      Lots of food (see photo),

      Good quality.

      What more do you want?

(No, really; what else should I write about it?)

Magic Bag from Too Good To Go app: 2 pinwheels, chicken parm roll, cheese calzone, 2 Buffalo chicken slices. $6

      Updated review

[this review is mostly about the "Magic Bag" from the Too Good To Go app]

Unlike virtually all other bagel places on the app that list their bags as "bread and pastries," this one was labeled as a "meal." Since I don't need 17 bagels at home, I thought I'd see what this meal was.

The bag collection process was smooth and on time.

The vibe inside was...weird. The place felt dingy and dark and thrown together. Not a reason on its own to avoid the place, but the manager (I think) who gave me the bag made it sound like they set aside food specifically for this program, which defeats the save-food-waste purpose of it.

The bigger issue was that there was no "meal," just 17 bagels of several varieties. They taste fine, but like I said, I don't need 17 bagels.

"Magic Bag" from Too Good To Go app. 17 bagels.

In short: pizza is meh, everything else is usually above average. Value is good.
      ---

We've taken out orders here multiple times, and we've usually been pleasantly surprised by our selections. Some examples include barbecue chicken wings, pepperoni pizza roll, antipasto (Italian meats and cheeses). I don't remember other good examples, but there are more.

As far as plain old pizza, it's not terrible, but there are plenty of better options out there. Our favorite is La Slice on Northwest Drive in Farmingdale.

I'm ambivalent about the cheesesteak. I ordered it hoping for a heaping mound of steakum and cheese with maybe some peppers and onions thrown in. But, although the bread was sufficiently filled (not quite overstuffed but still very satisfactory) it seemed there might have been more peppers/onions than cheese/steak in my cheesesteak. That might be preferable for others, but not for me.
