There's a few one star reviews and I was hesitant on making this place a destination for our Chicago trip but it was honestly so much fun for our family of three. Our son is five if that gives you any context for age.
All three of the employees we interacted with were so engaging with the kids.
I personally loved going into Doodle world and it was interactive for all of us to go on a scavenger hunt. I thought my five year old would be gone from the hunt but he was determined to find all the checkins. I LOVED that at the end we got a sticker printed of our custom made doodle.
We did not add on any of the extra activities because of the negative reviews so I can't speak on those.
The only thing that sucked was a grandma was yelling at her kids not to jump into the ball pit next to my kid and another kid. There were no signs saying they couldn't jump, it just said watch out for littles. Geesh let them be kids. Normally I would tell my son some people have different rules for their families and tell him to wait until they were gone to jump but we paid to be there and you only get an hour so jump son. Grandma was not happy and I saw her complaining to staff after. Things like that just suck because she probably got some sort of discount for being lame while we're having the time of our life and paying full price.
This place is on an Indy bucket list for myself. It's fine dining and not something I can do often with a small child at home. However, we went on our ten year anniversary and it was so special.
The champagne to welcome us was a nice touch and I'll always remember that.

What a wonderful review, Amanda! We are delighted that you had a wonderful 10 year celebration at Tinker Street! Happy anniversary!
This place is in my neighborhood and I love that there's a spot we can walk to grab some tasty grub. It's all boar's head meat so if you know that vibe, your expectations can be set.
Honestly, it's good for a neighborhood deli joint and you won't hear me complaining!
I thought this place was a success for our family of three!
My son was all about the sprinkle pool. We ended up walking fairly fast through the museum because he was so excited for the sprinkles.
I wouldn't pay more for any of the drinks in the speakeasy.
The hot dog ice cream is gross and I hope they change it because it's such a waste of food. We threw ours away with so many of them in the trash as well. You can have a hot dog ice cream that doesn't actually taste like a hot dog. Make it cute AND edible

Hello Amanda,
Thank you so much for your recent review! We are always working to redesign and change our experience for you and other guests to experience something new on future visits. We hope to welcome you back to MOIC soon!
I think the breakfast sandwich lived up to the hype. It was well balanced with flavors and different textures. Highlights are definitely the custardy egg and jalapeño jam.
The place is beautiful! I also loved my vanilla bean latte!
My husband got the fried chicken and said it was good too!
