Came to Osteria Del Teatro looking forward to the great service and food that so many reviews rave about. Perhaps I set my expectations too high, but I left disappointed. On the service front, everything about my meal made me feel as though I were an afterthought--water, bread, and wine were all deposited hastily. To be honest, I'm a fairly laid back, low maintenance person and I wouldn't have thought much of it except that I witnessed the storied service being provided to an older couple who was seated next to me about halfway through my meal. The difference in attentiveness was striking. Perhaps it was because I was dining alone or that I look young for my age that I didn't receive the same treatment? As for the food, I ordered the agnolotti al pesto--the pesto was bland and the pasta was rubbery. Overall, a disappointing experience

Rom was prompt and professional and got me into my apartment quickly after I inconveniently locked myself out. Definitely a lifesaver!
