I was EXTREMELY terrified about getting my first Brazilian. My friend had been telling me for years to get one and to specifically get sugaring done as it is completely organic and slightly less painful in her experience. So...I finally bit the bullet back in February and booked an appointment here.
First of all, Erin is a sweetheart. I told her it was my first time and she told me all about the process and what to expect before she began.
Secondly, it does hurt. You are getting hair ripped out from a very sensitive area so I won't lie and say that it was painless. However, Erin knows what she's doing and she is fast. My first time took the longest, probably 20ish minutes and my follow-up appointment took 6mins....so yeah....it does get better/easier.
Third, I know I don't have regular waxing to compare to, but in my limited experience so far with sugaring I would definitely say it is the way to go. I have experienced no ingrowns or irritation and it is nice to know that you aren't putting any weird chemicals on your skin that may lead to infections and other problems.

I came to Walnut Central after seeing the positive reviews for this practice and seeing that Dr. Kanabar is an elite provider for Invisalign....and I am not disappointed!
Dr. Kanabar and her staff are all very warm and friendly. Any questions that I may have are always answered thoroughly and I felt very good about going forward with Invisalign after the initial consult. I am almost done with Invisalign and I have to say that it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this practice to get it done. Walnut Central also offers a Groupon for Invisalign that can be used in conjunction to your insurance so I would definitely check that out.
Only downside, and it's not a huge one for me, is that the patient area is an open layout. They do have a private room that you can ask for, but other than that everyone is out in the open which could potentially feel a little uncomfortable.

I've always been very uncomfortable/nervous going to the dentist so believe me when I say Dental Loft has turned that around for me. The staff is very nice and the facility itself is very clean and modern. I love that they have TVs in each room with Roku because it really helps distract me from whatever procedure that I am getting done. I mean, does anyone really love getting their teeth cleaned and scraped? So, anything that can take my mind off of that is a huge plus in my book. In addition, the hygienists are very attentive and thorough. Last time I came in I had some gum swelling and the hygienist took her time in explaining what may be causing it, as well as giving me suggestions on non-irritating/gentle products. She said that if the swelling did not decrease, I could call anytime or come in without an appointment so that they could further assess the issue. I really appreciate when practices actual care about the patient, so that made me really happy.

    • Sushi Bars, Japanese, Bars

      Trinity Groves, Dallas

Trinity Groves has spectacular seating/ambiance, so I was really looking forward to finally eating here. Unfortunately the service at this particular place did not live up to its appearance. We were told it was a 30min wait when we got there because while they had plenty of tables, they didn't have enough servers to cover everyone. When we were finally seated, the server rushed through taking our orders and the food took forever to come. Additionally, I was charged $1 extra for substituting the crab in the California roll for cream cheese (something I do at every sushi restaurant) so that was slightly annoying.
I won't knock this place on the actual food though - the spicy edamame, my veggie-friendly California rolls (10 pieces), and the Lychee frozen sake marg were all good. Actually, I would insist on trying the sake margs, they are really tasty and huge (but not that strong.)
However, I have definitely been to better and cheaper sushi restaurants.

The world probably does not need another Velvet Taco review as it is already well loved BUT I wanted to let vegetarians know that you can not only just get the vegetarian tacos listed on the menu but you can also substitute the meat in other tacos for tofu/paneer. My go-to tacos are the fried paneer, the nashville hot tofu, and the chicken tikka with paneer instead of chicken. It is more expensive than your average taco restaurant but it is well worth it in my opinion, especially because they are gourmet tacos and they try very hard to incorporate flavors from all over the world. Also, do not skip out on the elote corn!
