Diners beware!
They have a combative manager who doesn't even know that soy sauce is in Kalbi or bulgogi. She is disrespectful, refused to let me speak to someone who speaks Korean to confirm their ability to cook food separately, and told me thay they would IGNORE food allergies by cooking everything together (bc why would anyone want to eat Korean if they are allergic to soy sauce).
This is absolutely bananas. I have NEVER had MY KOREAN heritage disrespected in this manner... especially after my omma spoke to a Korean speaking gentleman who confirmed they could accommodate us literally 3 minutes before this trash female "manager." We simply forgot to ask if we were cooking or if they do. Smfh.
I swear folks are culture vultures and double down on their problematic tendencies. All she had to do was put me on hold to ask or get someone more knowledgeable. Instead, she powertripped, hung up on me, then continued to be combative on Facebook.
Must be nice to judge a culture she knows nothing about.
I'm glad my friend had a great time, but my Korean and Black behind will go to a Korean restaurant owned and managed by people who actually respect their customers AND the traditions of the culture their restaurant is supposed to reflect.
This place is cozy and great.
Super friendly waitstaff, food was fresh (and lightly breaded), all fried seafood is gluten free.
And the portions were generous. Seriously generous. Like 2 people shared the seafood platter and still had leftovers.
Gluten allerg6 beware!
They will tell you stuff is gluten free, you will get sick, and when you tell them... they will laugh.
Customer service is terrible.
Owner is rude af AND celiacs beware! He says everything he has is gluten free without bread but he uses white distilled vinegar in his food. If you are sensitive, you may have a reaction. (He believes that no vinegar has gluten in and tried to argue me down about if I could have a celiac reaction)
Non-celiac folks, yall should be ok if you can get past his rudeness and waiting for him to notice you at the counter. The food smelled great.
Terrible!
Pictures posted.
Burger is raw.
No bacon, no avocado.
Stingy with the soggy fries.
Weird tasting vanilla yogurt with virtually no fruit.
Crunchy rice pudding.
When I spoke to them... they said they were saving money on containers. Bruh!
I guess they are saving money on heat to cook the food too. (And with napkins, utensils, and everything else).
They don't do remakes or refunds either.
Bruh... run!
Only bright side: apparently the blackened burger is delicious. So, if you MUST order from them, get that and plan to pick it up yourself.
