Friendly family owned Thai restaurant serving good Thai cuisine. Tried 5 dishes and they were all well above average. Friendly and prompt service, price is reasonable for Berkeley.

Extremely salty. The definitely messed up brining the meat. There's no way this was intentional.

Once you arrive, there's no wait system of any kind expect for writing your name on a paper board and wait forever. So, you could assume their attitude towards customers is not pleasant. However, this is my first time and decided to wait since I drove 40 min to try this establishment. Finally sat down, ordered and... it was very disappointing. Ball Katsu is made with ground pork instead as of minced / chopped meat so texture was pasty. They were a bit too salty considering they come on a pool of sauce. Their regular donkatsu (loin) was EXTREMELY salty. Their sauce is not too bad but I could not eat with the sauce. The katsu itself must had been brined for a week in high concentration salt water. Hire(tenderloin) was the same.
Their cabbage salad comes with dressing already poured on top. They poured a lot making it also very salty.

Considering their low price, I would rate two stars. For food and overall experience alone, I would had given one star. I hope they improve.

It's been 20 min since we were seated. No one has taken our order yet even after asking staffs 4 times we need to order. I understand this is a newly opened resstaurant, but if you're not ready to operate properly, you should wait til you're ready.

Best poke in mainland. Especially for the price. Brings me back to Hawaii every time. This is one of those places where you wish you're the only one who knows of the place.
