I'm vegetarian and like vegan food as well. The items on the menu always sound good, but I end up not "loving" them. Some of the flavor profiles just don't mix well. They have great, unique beverages. Service is good. The hosts I've met can be a bit abrupt if the restaurant is busy. Ambiance is good. At peak times it's busy and loud, but that's most restaurants. I'd recommend giving it a try, especially if you're vegetarian or vegan.

Thanks so much for the feedback Tracy. We aim to please. Have you tried our Ancient Grain Bowl (my fav, and both vegan & vegetarian)? Hope to see you back soon!
This is by far my favorite shop on the main drag in Rehoboth. I always find unique gifts and cards for my friends and family (and myself!). There's so much to see, you have to go a few times. There really is something for everyone - young, old and in between! And lots of festive items around each holiday.
No stars. I'll start with the positives. The location is excellent (next to Rock Center) if you're there to do the touristy things. Most of the staff were nice.
After reading reviews which made it clear the hotel was in transition so there were some "growing pains," I decided to give them a chance.
At check-in time, 3 PM, their computer system went down. We waited approximately one hour while the one computer they finally got to work checked people in. The line was out the door.
The elevators are incredibly slow and staff take them - not the freight elevator. So you'll wait forever for the elevator, finally get on it and then stop multiple times as staff need to go from floor-to-floor. Naturally during our stay the room key stopped functioning. We had waited forever to get to the room, and then had to go back down and up again. Probably the minimum wait for an elevator was 5 minutes during busy times.
We returned to our room one day to find the deadbolt popped out so our door would remain open. I thought the maid must be in there. The maid HAD been in there and never came back. S/he just left the door unlocked. Given there are no safety deposit boxes in the rooms, there were a lot of valuables someone could have stolen.
My daughter became ill with a fever while we were there. Her medicine upset her stomach so she threw up about a mouthful - not emptying her stomach everywhere - on the bedspread. It was a little bit but enough that I wanted the bedding removed and new bedding. It was 10:30 PM. Since there was no extra bedding (blankets or pillows) in the room, I immediately called for new bedding. I had to call multiple times. It took an hour. And the only thing I had to cover my daughter with while we waited was a small bath towel - you only get two and one was damp.
I will never stay here again. I do not recommend it.
"Basic" may be overstating the quality of this motel. That said, it wasn't horrible.
We usually stay elsewhere in Rehoboth, but being near Labor Day and booking last minute, this was the only place available at a reasonable price and great location. The room was adequate and clean. Bedding was clean but beds were old and uncomfy. Towels were clean but stained. The tub was very slippery - no rubber mat or anything. The shower curtain was merely a plastic liner. Bathroom in general could have used a really good scrub and some repairs.
I did not like that there was not a deadbolt on the door nor was there a safe in the room. I do not believe the front desk is staffed overnight so it made me a bit nervous without the deadbolt or some extra security lock on the door. The elevator is a bit frightening with a bumpy ride.
AC worked fine as did the Wi-Fi. We did not use the pool but checked it out, along with the deck. Both looked clean.
The location is excellent, on the main drag and within walking distance of the beach. Parking is free. Front desk staff are very friendly and even let us keep our car in the lot fairly late the day we checked out.
I've said it before when staying at these types of hotels/ motels with a plethora of bad reviews - read the reviews and if you decide to stay, have realistic expectations (I'm noting bed bugs are NOT a realistic expectation, although we didn't have a problem). I probably would only stay here again if we were in a pinch as we were this time. However, I wouldn't dissuade anyone from staying as long as they're informed.
We go to Rehoboth often and this is a "must" stop each time. In fact, we probably go nearly every day we're there, every single trip. It is packed with new, unique and vintage toys. If you're a Star Wars fan, go! The staff are great and experts on the toys.
My daughter loves the figurines - random figurines from sets like Imaginext, TMNT, Star Wars, Scooby-Doo. There is also a box of Legos and you can make a Lego figurine. All are reasonably priced. There are collector's items as well - toys I played with 30 years ago, as well as unique items you're not going to find many places (Dr. Who, Serenity, BTVS, WWE). There are new toys and games as well, so something for everyone!
It's located in an alley just off the main drag in Rehoboth. I highly recommend it!
