Nice to see a new Korean fried chicken spot in the upper east side. Great spot, mostly a takeout location but their wings were fire. Especially the soy garlic tikkudak - crispy but moist with their marinade at the same time. Owners a really nice, a must try even if you don't live here
BEDBUGS! Used points to book 3 nights. First night in the room looked completely destroyed, black streaks all over the white counters and tables. Fridge puled out of where it was supposed to be to be and it smelled horrid, like feet and had a moldy musky smell. I asked to be switched to a different room which seemed a little better (sink handle was broken though). Slept in the first night and woke up bites over my arms and legs. I didn't even better with this hotel after that, I checked out after one night even though I booked with points for 3 nights and stayed at a nearby hyatt hotel steal. Horrified by this experience
Wonderful meal at hot potato house! Their latkas and vareniki were one of my favorites, any of their potato based dish were phenomenal. Excellence borsch as well, hidden gem thats deep in Brooklyn but worth the commute

I've been doing private lessons with Luciano (Lu) well before he opened this gym, for the past 3-4 years. He is known to be one of the best pad holders in the muay thai community and has trained numerous successful amateur and pro fighters. He is technical and lives & breathes muay thai, (as well as Brazilian jiu jitsu and strength and conditioning). He's a straight shooter, will call things out as it is which I appreciate.
His partner Pawel is a pro muay thai fighter with a wealth of experience and fights under his belt. He has the knowledge and experience to elevate your game. A great sparring partner as he'll let you work and provide solid feedback. An interesting duo who both truly knows their craft. Takes some getting use to in terms of their personality but they the best in the area (as well as NYC).
Picked up the Mefuneket sandwich, one of the few vegetarian based sandwiches I'll ever indulge in. The cream cheese really makes makes it pop imo, invented by Moti decades ago. I love their bread, many partrons often order this on the side with other garnishes.
They also have a shakshuka dish if you prefer that instead. I've had their lemonada years ago (not pictured), very refreshing. Simple menu for an old mom and pop shop in lower midwood
