Easily the best burger I've ever had. They are a great food truck with a versatile menu offering! Food is always fresh! Very large portions! Worth the price for sure! Try the Risk it for the Brisket burger!
Ok so I drove 49 mins for this!!!!
AND IT WAS WORTH IT!!!! Everything was hot, fresh, tasty and blessed my life! I'm normally skeptical about trying fried seafood joints comply because they can sometimes over season the seafood. This was not the case with Skrimp Shack.
If they would I have had a better selection of condiments then they would have def earned a 5 star review from me. A brothers needs bbq sauce and honey mustard no matter what!
I had the opportunity to stop by again and have decided to update my review.
This time I was very pleased. The food was fresh and the overall experience (despite COVID) seemed to improve. The burger was really good and it made me feel like buying another!

Overhyped and overpriced!
If you are looking for a place where you will spend $25+ for mediocrity by way of burgers and fries this is the place.
I wanted to be a believer but unfortunately I was not impressed. The burgers were bite size compared to other Triangle burger joints. The fries(crinkle cut) looked as if they had went to food lion grabbed a bag of frozen fries and served em up. I literally could make better fries at home. For these prices I would expect hand cut and at-least a small amount of flavor. The chicken hot dog was ok but why the MLB baseball game price??? The flavor was ok but not worth $5
I gave them a 2 because my wife said the milkshake was "good". Which says a lot because she's not easily swayed when it comes to milkshakes.
The restaurant was clean and modern but the tv in the main lobby was frozen on a direct tv loading screen??? Dude is Saturday and it's college football season in NC, you gotta have the tv on point!
I'm certain the "died hard" Caryites who love overpriced everything will be there often because of the location and higher socioeconomic character that the restaurant and Cary thrive on. But as for me and my house I will look for better burgers at a price that's truly worth it.
I've stopped by this location twice since they opened. My first visit I was blown away by the speed of the service, the friendliness of the workers and the adult beverages were amazing!
My first visit definitely left me preferring this location instead of the Durham location which can be busy, slow, and leave you feeling like you got ripped off after dinner.
The second time I came to this location I think the waitstaff must have been short on workers. I was told an hour wait when there were clearly clean tables in the main dining room. I even reserved online for a specific time and they still were not ready. They should just throw away the online reservation because they do not honor it clearly. The hostess was not very nice or helpful so I just went to the bar areas and ordered there.
I will go again in hopes of a better experience. I still would come to this location over the Durham location any day!
My wife and myself frequent this place whenever we want a good southern hot dog! This place delivers and it's also friendly on the pocket. Stop by today!
