I would give this establishment 5 stars for there honestly amazing smoothies. Maybe the best in LA. Unfortunately there kombucha is made by elixirs kombucha which is run by a guy named Chris who goes by the Instagram handle @fantasticfunguy. His page promotes pro trump ideals, posts conspiracy theories, and champions the upcoming civil was on the deep state. Why is the punch bowl selling products made by a man who promotes treason on our country? Especially given the events at our nations capitol this week? Does the punch bowl share these ideals?

When covid first started I Waited in line hours to get my groceries. I had called ahead of time to make sure they accepted checks as my card had been shut off due to fraud and I couldn't get a new one as it was the weekend. I was assured that i could pay with check. After filling a cart with food i went to the register where the manager gave me an extremely hard time refusing to take my check as he did not believe i lived in the neighborhood. Now I'm not sure if this was because i look young or am Hispanic, but the funny part was that not only have i lived in Silverlake my ENTIRE LIFE, but I owned my own house in the neighborhood by the time i was 22. I had frequented Gelsons pretty much every day from the age of 2 when i went to family school, later Ivanhoe, all through high school when i went to Marshall. My step mother and father frequent the store pretty much every day, and live a block away. Even my mom goes to gelsons with my toddler. The tellers recognize and know us. No idea who this manager is or if he is even a Silverlake native but he's def a major snob. I tried to leave the groceries as I had no other way to pay to which he insisted my friend pay the $450 tab with her card so they wouldn't have to put the items back. I dont know about you but i personally do not enjoy frequenting a business on a weekly basis for 26 years and getting accused of fraud and not being a member of the neighborhood i literally was born in.

Amazing customer service. I will be coming here exclusively. I highly recommend to everyone. We only waited twenty minutes.

I love to try new hair products and always come to Melrose Beauty Center to get them! They carry all the best high end hair care brands at a way better price then the salon. Caviar, Oribe, pureology, Karastase are just a few of my faves AND you are supporting a small family owned business when you shop here which is super tight.

They also have Olaplex and purple shampoo for all
