My roommates and I have placed an apartment on the waitlist with a deposit fee of $100 around May of 2016. They told us the fee was 100% refundable whenever we decided to take our names off the waitlist. Because no apartments were available near the month of our hold, my roommates and I have decided to withdraw our name from the waitlist in August 2016. The leasing office workers informed us that the money will be refunded via check in mail within a week. However, it is now October 6th and the money is nowhere to be seen.

Torrey Pines has a horrible communication system. They are literally almost impossible to get a hold of. I don't know what the previous reviews about the manager is all about, but from my personal experience, this community has one of the worst customer services.

I've called numerous times and left my contact information with them for them to call me back, but I have not received a single call/message from them. I've sent emails and even visited in person several times, only to find that the office is either empty, the manager is almost never at her office, and they seem to be understaffed in where none of the workers were able to assist me in my problem.

I've checked out their floorplans and apartments and location, and taking every aspect of the living condition into consideration, you will get what you pay for in this apartment community.
