Update: had to do the mini tostones burger again which was soo good. The sede of rice and beans however not so good. Rice was undercooked with a blend of crunch and smush... i know better because im dominican...beans were ok. Not sure ill be ordering again.. rating stays the same... cant be top notch if all of your dishes aren't consistently good..
Ordered through Grub hub the popular DR all Day plate and was saddened to see that chefs forgot to add the pickled onions. so sad because that's the part i was craving the most. However, the mangu was beautifully well seasoned and soft, the fritura (longaniza and salami) was good and the fried eggs was just how i wanted it. Those mini sliders tho??!? Wow! They were so delicious. The burger was juicy the tostones were crispy and blend sauce is everything.
Ordered pepperoni and cheese pizza. The flavor was great. The crust was crispy. And Staff was friendly.. i will definitely be back.
Yeah. I went into this place with my hopes high. The establishment was cute and hippied-out, as expected. i was pleased with the cleanliness and friendliness of staff. My bagel was really good and toasty but oddly not warm enough despite the fact that i watched it come out of the toaster moments earlier. I chose the house blend coffee which tasted rather burnt to me. All in all, i would probably go back but choose another beverage instead.
First time trying Gee Gee's. I ordered for pick up a Chicken Wing Dinner. The wings were very tasty and juicy. The Collard Greens were well seasoned and cooked to perfection... (not overcooked or soggy) The mac and cheese was delicious and definitely baked and not soaked in grease. The missing star is due to the cornbread which tasted good but was a little on the dry side. The location is rather small and muggy.. but to be fair i did go on a rainy evening... happy to see they have an updated POS system which takes credit cards ... i def be back.
This place is amazing! Their food actually taste like home cooked Dominican food, unlike other places that all dishes taste like its been marinated with same seasoning, and has a weird aftertaste. El pollo al carbon is soo good. Make sure you ask for the wasakaka sauce for more kick.
