I didn't get to try this place. My friends and I showed up at 2:20 pm for brunch on Sunday and were told that brunch was over. The website and even Yelp advertise brunch as ending at 3pm. False advertising. I'm disappointed because it looked like a nice, fun place.

Last 3 times I've gone in, I got my haircut from Edgar. He does a wonderful job every time. He's friendly and very skilled. He definitely knows what he's doing. Highly recommend.

Gerry is a gift from God. I suffer from migraines and have been on the verge of getting one a few times the morning of a massage. Every time, the masseuse/masseur found the sore spot in my neck/back but made it worse and ended up triggering a full-blown migraine - every time except this time!! I went in about to get a migraine and GERRY FIXED IT! Oh man, I felt wonderful. If you've ever suffered migraines, you know how euphoric it is for the migraine to go away (especially without drugs). She found the knots and actually took care of them, unwinding my migraine. Clearly she knows what she is doing and is gentle and attentive.

The studio is beautiful and absolutely zenful. It's pricey though. I wish they offered occasional specials so I could go more often :).

I had a massage by Reggie in July, and it was probably one of the most painful I've ever had. I requested Reggie because of all of the Yelp reviews, but he applied WAY too much pressure the entire time - way too much for a Swedish Massage. I told him several times to use less pressure and that it hurt, but he barely really didn't make any changes. It hurt throughout in the bad way.

If you like medium pressure Swedish Massages, which is what I requested, I don't recommend Reggie. I haven't had this problem with other masseuses in Chicago.

The massage was also a little awkward. When Reggie brought me in, he told me to lay down as if he was going to get started on me fully clothed. I asked if I should undress, and he said yes if I want, and left the room, which was fine. When he came back, I was lying down still wearing my bra, and he told me to take that off.. but he didn't leave the room.... So I took it off face down so he couldn't see anything, which is a tricky maneuver. The least he could have done was turn away. I thought that was inappropriate. Also, during the massage, he had me flip over and lifted up the sheet, but he wasn't standing in front of me... so it felt like he could look under the sheet. I can't say with 100% certainty that that was the case, so this is NOT an accusation, but it really did feel like he was trying to "sneak a peak." That made me uncomfortable. Professional masseurs know to lift the sheet when standing in *front* of the customer - not behind. That's standard practice. Again, not an accusation because it's a harsh one if I'm wrong. But I at least hope masseurs and businesses reading this will be mindful of the issue. It makes a difference to your customers.

The business establishment itself is very small but beautiful and well kept. Front desk is professional, and they have dried fruit, tea, and slippers there for you when you arrive. Parking is a nightmare - so don't drive there. Giardano's parking lot was packed, but I was lucky enough to find a single parking spot at 2 in the afternoon on a weekday.

      Updated review

I was recently contacted by this company and offered a full refund of $150 for my previous purchase. I did indeed receive the check. While I didn't enjoy the services provided, I am pleased with their customer response.
