Mar 21, 2018Not too long ago we had a very inconvenient and annoying rodent problem in my building. I was concerned about the growing problem and how the treatment could affect my pets. I shopped around for prices and availability (needed service ASAP) and no one was able to beat Select Integrated Pest Management as far as pricing and availability.
What stood out about my experience with them was that a) I got a call back from them within a few hours, b) the owner, Harold was very polite and willing to accommodate my schedule, c) Harold took the time to answer my paranoid questions regarding chemicals and how they could potentially damage my pets (he explained he uses eco-friendly products that are safe for pets and humans, no harsh chemicals only if extremely necessary, which in our case it wasn't), and d) compared to other companies, SIPM's prices are absolutely reasonable!
Within a couple of months the problem was under control. It took some extra work from our part like cleaning the garbage area, more cleanliness in our units, and sealing some potential entrances (which Harold also took care of for additional fee!). I recommended SIPM's services to a friend who also had a rodent problem and she is very satisfied with the service and results.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
Mar 20, 2018Updated reviewDouble fuck it. I went from loving this place to not even stepping foot in it. I no longer wish to be discriminated against, smell like cigarette smoke or put up with the clueless crowd that frequents this spot.

I used to love this place but I'm over it, however, I still think it deserves 3 stars because of its location (walking distance to taquerias and BART) decent drink prices and jukebox. I'm over it because nowadays it gets too crowded, the crowd is bleh and because having so many cool bars in the Mission, I don't have to go where my business is not appreciated.

I still love the bar, the jukebox, decor, prices, etc. but some of the bartenders are just not nice. I always order my drinks nicely, I always say "thank you", I always tip, so, why not a fucking smile? why not a "hey!"? or a "how are you doing?"? I exclude Martin (he's great!) and Sarah (she makes great Hawaiian Punch shots and always smiles).Dec 21, 2007Previous reviewMy favorite bar! My favorite spot for Dia de los Muertos. Love the jukebox. Love the drink tickets. Love the Chapulin Colorado doll. Free pop corn? I can dig that. Love the "Fuck You, I'll put whatever decoration I want on the walls, although it's creepy and makes no sense" feel of the place. And I can bring my dog with me? Yup, the Phone Booth rocks!

Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Dec 8, 2009Previous reviewToday I went to eat at Red Cafe (pupusas of course!) and while seating at the bar, my Yelp review became a topic of conversation, the owner clarified that they don't charge extra, like I mentioned in my previous review, they even showed me the list of the extras they charge for, (apparently there was some kind of misunderstanding between them and my friend) now that the issue was clarified, I had to update my review and give Red Cafe and their superb pupusas, caesar salad and breakfast the review they deserve! Also, I add brownie points because they actually take the time to read the Yelp reviews and investigate the issues, talk about wanting to improve service and customer satisfaction!!
Nov 22, 2009Previous reviewOk, so my friend Carmen and I decided to get down to the nitty gritty of Red Cafe. And here is the breakdown:
*Quesadillas are "off the hook" according to Carmen, her favorite dish from here.
*Carmen does not like the fact (and I totally agree) that they charge $1 for mustard if it's a to-go order, plus they don't have to-go menus, if you insist on purchasing they'll charge a motherf(*&^g dollar!!!!!
*The pupusas are superb! If you are a vegetarian, this is your dish, they have mushroom, spinach, loroco, zucchini, beans and cheese, quite impressive if you ask me! However, avoid the pupusa loca! Pupusa loca is a massive/vulgar combo of all the ingredients mentioned!! It's like a pupusa pizza and the flavors are so overwhelming together, that all you taste is cheese and masa.
*For breakfast, Platanos con Casamiento (fried rice and beans, fried bananas with sour cream and cheese) is the killer, so yummmy for my tummy! However, if Platanos con casamiento is not your thing, you can order some Oatmeal Pancakes or French Toast, also yummy!
*Recently I discovered the Shrimp Caesar Salad and I am in love! It's so good, I just wish they would it serve with prawns.
*I also didn't rate Red 5 stars because I think the prices are a little high, come on, rice and beans are not that expensive and the portions are not huge, so why charge so much? - Apr 5, 2017
I was desperate for an appointment, and they were able to schedule me right away. I got there on time. Yes, waited for a long time, so my advice is to make sure to allow enough time for your appointment, they don't provide express service, that's for sure! Anyhow, I was able to get the deep cleaning I desperately needed, the same day and completed the rest the following day! Appointments were smooth and staff hella nice! Sandra was super helpful and nice, and explained everything step-by-step. Marizza did a fabulous job with the cleaning, she took her time and was hella detailed! I actually enjoyed it. I recommend the clinic and would definitely go back.
