Houk wanted to charge me close to $300 to check for a leak in an AC unit that they installed in our home and they couldn't come to the house for almost a week. Another company came the next day, quoted me a $37 service fee (which they didn't charge as we are using them to fix the issue) and found the problem in less than 5 minutes. Houk has been called to our house 4 times over 3 years to fix this issue and never found the broken evaporator coil which, according to the other company, was most likely broken coming out of the box. We are now paying for the repair instead of having them repair under warranty.
