Food: Ordered the Ceviche Salad with a bit of salad dressing on the side. The amount of shrimp and real crab in the salad was appreciated. Great taste combination of avocado, lettuce and cool "thousand island-like" dressing. Just delicious.
Service: I was slightly ahead of the lunch crowd and expected the service to drop a bit as the restaurant filled. I'm happy to report, I had a seasoned and uber-professional server. She read my situation (lunching while reading) and came by just to check on me. I was well cared for but not coddled...perfect!
Ambiance: Located next to a Metro train stop and a Mini Police Station, one might expect a lot of noise and commotion...not true! I enjoyed my salad and French-pressed coffee with minimal restaurant clatter and conversation. Never heard the train. Natural light streams offer a mental break from the bright lights in other restaurants.
I do wish they could figure out the situation with the restroom facilities. They always seem to be leaking, flooding, or needing some type of service. I understand that many of the buildings in Pasadena are very old...so an upgrade investment would be welcome.

Food: I'm obsessed with the dark meat kabobs. They are always tender and delicious. Depending on who's manning the grill...they occasionally go a little heavy on the paprika...but still, delicious. Rice is usually on point and homemade hummus is always yummy...even the next day with leftover pita.
Service: They seem to have a very loyal following...myself included. That's nice to see in a small community.
Ambiance: Some private table, some family style. Very comfortable lighting, they offer specialty coffees and wine. A nice place to unwind with a friend and a nice conversation.

Food: They have other items on their menu...but frankly, I was in AWE of the biscuits and could see nothing else! They are enormous! They are more dense than your average restaurant biscuit. Incredibly filling...just with the sweet butter. Pretty delicious though!!
Service: We were limited to 6 biscuits. Larger orders need to be placed online. To be fair, I attempted to order online however, their system was not operating properly, and eventually shutdown.
Ambiance: Small walk-up space. Two-car parking...additional parking on the street. All outdoor seating.

Food: Ordered the Avocado Toast with Chicken. I hoped it would be the perfect breakfast before wine-tasting. The sourdough was artisan and fresh, the Chicken was roasted and freshly shredded.
Unfortunately, there were so many pieces of gristle, it became unpleasant. I was removing bits and pieces from every bite.
Service: Oat milk latte had a good flavor but the espresso was not very strong. My daughter's latte was only two-thirds full and mostly foam. They were nice enough to remake it.
Ambiance: Family style seating. People seemed to respect others space even while sitting elbow to elbow. Lots of locals and tourists. High ceilings made it very airy and comfortable.
