    • Bubble Tea, Coffee & Tea

This is the boba shop that I come back to time and time again. They have a great selection tea drinks (caffeinated and non-caffeinated choices) that are flavorful. They also have a great assortment of toppings as well. As most boba shops have raised their prices significantly, 1011 sip tea prices are still reasonable.

They used to be a part of the Five Stars program, which was great. Now you'll have to order through a kiosk to collect your drink points for free drinks. The kiosk charges a fee and you can't call in ahead to get your order anymore if you want to collect towards your free drink. But it's still worth it since you get a free drink for every 10 drinks you purchase.

Their Taiwan milk tea with boba is unique and a great standard option. The black/oolong/green milk tea with toppings are a great choice. For a hot day, the icy mango, strawberry, or coco drinks are delicious. Anything with cheese or coffee crema is always tasty. There are many drinks that you can get hot as well.

    • Hot Pot, Chinese

      Parkside, San Francisco

      11 check-ins

This is definitely the best bang for your buck hot pot place. They have an all you can eat option, but I think the $25 a la carte set menu is pretty good for myself. They even give you free soda if you do a Yelp check-in. The meal also includes ice cream, which rotates through various flavors depending when you come in. It does get busy on the weekends, but the Yelp waitlist makes it easier to get a table since you can do other things while you wait. It's a bit harder to find parking in this area, so do account for that.

The quality of the meat is really good. You can choose 2 plates of meat I love the waygu beef (house, tender, and center choices are all great). The ribeye is a bit tougher, but it's hearty if you're hungry. The meat plates are pretty generous as well. The only thing is that this place isn't great if you're vegetarian. They don't have a tofu plate choice. Just chicken or fish other than the red meat choices. If you're vegetarian, you'll have to choose an extra side dish. However the side dishes choices are a lot smaller than the meat dishes, especially the tofu choice.

They give you a few noodle or rice choices. I love getting the vermicelli noodles because I'm generally pretty full at the end of the meal. But if you more hungry, then the other noodle dishes would fill you up more. I don't see a reason to do all you can eat. It roughly costs 50% more, but I feel like the set menu gives you a lot of options and food already.

Then comes the 5 choices sides that you can add to the set menu. There's so many choices, from the fish balls to many veggie choices. They're pretty generous on each of the servings in general. There may be a few choices that don't have a big portion like the corn.

When you think you're done with all that food and broth at the end of the meal. They bring you out a choice of dessert as well.

The do take awhile to clean up the table before seating you. Plus it takes awhile sometimes for them to bring you the food. But if you're there earlier or ok on time, it's not too bad.

Super filling with great quality food. This is definitely a place I come back to time and time again.

It's more like a 3.5 stars place. This restaurant has the same owner as the Fiery Hot Pot place on Taraval, but it's not the same. The unique thing about this restaurant is that they have the grill. But if you want hot pot, the other Fiery location is better.

      Pros:
      - They have a grill food a la carte for $25.
      - Single hot pot bowl if everyone wants their own pot.
      - Faster service than their sister resturant. They cleaned up and brought out the food pretty fast.

      Cons:
      - Since they have the single hot pots, it's smaller than the bigger dual flavor pots at the other place.

      - They don't have free soda (with a Yelp check-in) or ice cream dessert like their sister place.
      - Portions are a bit smaller. I'm usually stuffed at the other place after the meal. But this location, I was able to drink a few bowls of soup to feel full.
      - They have less selections for the $25 hot pot a la carte menu.

Overall, it's pretty good and if you want to grill your food, this place is good. They also have a birthday wheel for a chance to get some free snacks/drink, etc.

This is a good pitstop for lunch or early dinner on your Road to Hana roadtrip day. The key thing is to remember to bring cash and order the combo. The combos are a better deal and enough food for two people. They don't accept credit cards. They just have picnic benches, but with a great view of the ocean.

I wouldn't say it's the most amazing place ever, but they give you pretty good portions. Half a chicken, kalua pork, rice, salad, and mac salad for $26 is definitely a better deal than their single huli huli chicken with sides for $18. The chicken was tender except for the breast. The breast is a bit dry. The pork is pretty tasty and not dry. A bit expensive for what it is, but it was a quick pitstop for lunch and away you go.

I would definitely say this place is 4.5stars because of the service. It's not Michelin, but we were treated very well here and the food with pretty good. They're also very family-oriented with good accommodations for children.

Few places actually have foie gras, so it was a treat to try the foie gras here. It was seared nicely and the condiments didn't make the dish too sweet like some other restaurants. The onion rings were a bit different to be paired with the foie gras, but still crispy and good. Their fresh day was a marlin. It was baked, flaky, and flavorful definitely was a great fish choice. Their filet mignon was cooked to your liking and they had some nice seasoning to the dish. The best part of the steak were the sauced that you can choose from. I ordered the roasted shallot jus and smoked paprika chimichurri. Definitely added to the dish. The best part was the ending with the chocolate souffle. Amazing souffle with tons of great chocolate flavors and not too sweet. Some of the chocolate sauces at other restaurants can be too sweet, but at DUO, it added to the flavor of the souffle. The ice cream paired nicely with the dessert as well.

The service was amazing. The staff went above and beyond my expectations. Never once had I need to ask for water. They just refilled our cups when it was running low. They were also accommadating for our toddler. They had plastic bowl and utensils for her. They even provided some mashed potatoes, rice, and chips for her complimentary.

We'll definitely come back to try their other menu items and eating the souffle again.
